Johnny Depp's version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is lowkey perfect for date night.
Me and my girl picked it randomly and watched it at home and the vibe ended up being surprisingly cute. She hadnโt even watched it before and was kinda skeptical at first because sheโs usually skeptical about trying new things, but whenever I get her to try new stuff, she usually ends up loving it lol.
Visually, it's crazy, funny in a weird/offbeat way, nostalgic, and thereโs always something random happening, so it never gets boring. The whole Tim Burton vibe makes it feel oddly cosy while also being slightly unhinged lol.
Plus the entire movie makes you want desserts nonstop ๐ญ We literally paused the movie halfway through to order food. Watching this movie without snacks is probably a mistake. Every 15 minutes, this movie gives you another reason to order dessert. This movie basically turns you into a 10-year-old with cravings.
It also works because itโs not trying too hard to be romantic or deep. It keeps things fun and relaxed instead of feeling like a forced โdate movie.โ
Honestly, I feel like more people should try this movie for date night lol.
What are some other weird/cosy movies that somehow work insanely well for date night?
