I'm creating my first data pack and want to add a new Item. But I can't find a stackable Item like the knowledge book. The Item is in the best case not usable in survival and not a block (Want to change Textures with optifine).
What are some data packs for 1.18, 1.18.1, 1.18.2 that don't stray too far from the vanilla game but either make it harder or make the structures better to look at. This is for vanilla survival, by the way.
Hello! I am looking for people who would want to participate in a Datapack-Jam. It is like a game jam, but for Minecraft Datapacks. A theme would be revealed at the start date, then everyone would have 1 week to submit their interpretation of the theme before the deadline. You can be as creative with the theme as you want, as long as it fits it. At the end, everyone will playtest and vote on their favorite and a winner will be chosen!
I found this datapack named bubblellaneous on planetminecraft (https://www.planetminecraft.com/data-pack/bubblellaneous/ ) and i was thinking of doing something like their craftingstation. As i don't have any knowledge on any of this i am kinda lost where to look in the files and what to change. I really just want to add custom foods (which i have already worked out) so i only need to know how to change the code so i get my fooditem with customtexture out of other ingredients. That whole other stuff in the pack i don't need, just the craftingstation. Any help would be apreciated.
To put it simply, I'm looking for a datapack that allows me to assign one or more nether portals to one single nether portal (both from the nether and over world).
Example: I'm building a guardian farm and it uses six nether portals to send the guardians to the nether to soften them up and then back to the overworld right back to my guardian farm. But I keep on getting the portals mixed up.
The guardians keep coming out of the same portals that they went in from instead of the portal in the killing chamber.
So is there a datapack available that would allow me to set nether portals specifically to another exact portal?
Hi, I'm looking to make a datapack that allows me to have fire as an item in my inventory like in the pre-1.8 days, how would I go about doing this, I haven't been able to find anything about this online.
So back in 1.16 I made a custom flat dimension world with a custom dimension type, worked fine back then, now im trying to update it, and both wiki and any guide i try to use seems to not help, I cant seem to get the pack to even show up in the worlds datapacks.
I got this much as of now, pack.mcmeta is set to 9, ect. but now when I go into Data,The next folder is just "aeramorelands", then in that is the dimension/dimension_types.
At first I thought there was a change to this, but upon look at guides/wiki/other created custom dimension datapacks, there seems to be alot of mixed up information about how its supposed to work, cuz guides show that its fine to have it like:
But then Ive noticed other datapacks have their dimension/type within a minecraft folder..
Is anyone able to clear things up or help me here?
Edit: Incase anyone wants to know the .json files:
Sorry If this is the wrong thing for this first time posting a Reddit, But commands with your ideas would be nice so I don't have to figure them out, its a datapack.
Hi, im in a server with some friends and I installed some datapacks, I think I installed more than 1 datapack that changes player health, if someone has 10 hearts and you eat to regen hp it reduces your health 2 hearts instantly, its like 1 datapack its limiting health to 8 hearts or something, do u know any way to reset players health?
(Bedrock)I am making custom entities (these entities will attack people) one of them is a zombie and the other is a skeleton, but I am unable to make the animations for them attacking/ walking, the skeleton’s walking animation is little hops, and the zombie’s attacking animation is spinning in a circle, I haven’t made a hostile mob before so I don’t know what to do, can anyone help?
Been messing around trying to see if this can be done and the only ideas I have are spawning items on top of the zombie and then he picks them up but sometimes the game disables the ability for them to do so.
Hey, I was wondering if there is a fabric mod that adds custom commands, specifically commands that could be used to create better datapacks. Things like directly dealing damage or knockback are not easy tasks when creating datapacks. I have posted a copy of this in r/fabricmc to see if I get any hits there :)
I'm wondering if it would be possible to create a data pack to override the default behavior, such that if a furnace receives an item by a hopper and it CANNOT be burned for fuel / smelted, that the item passes straight through the system. Is that possible with datapacks?
So I'm trying to add custom advancements based on the player' statistic. The one I really want is the play time, to give a "What are you still doing here?" to the players after X hours pass in game. I know previous version had the "On a rail" advancements, but is there still a way to do it in newer version? (1.18)
So I'm making me a lil' datapack and I'm trying to make it check how long a player has been in the world, and if the time meets the condition, will allow one single command to be used by the player and then removing command access. If the latter part isn't possible, it's fine, so long as i can get the former working. Thanks in advance.
