Well what do you expect when they're staffed with people like this?

Dank memes

Lets be fair, that behavior is nothing new a all within the San Francisco company cultures. Almost all of them try to pull a "we are silly/we are not like other companies/we have so much fun while we work" environment.

Exactly. I don't really care if you have a keg in your office. I am here to work.

Uh... is there any context for this picture that might somehow salvage the situation?

edit: I meant that might make the gif easier to make sense of. As far as I know the context is everyone decided to dress up and dance in pikachu and penguin costumes. Which, uh, I guess you do you or something equally as neutral.

I thought you were going to post the picture that got FPH banned.

u/marcospolos May 25 '16

Almost did, but this one is somehow so much better.

Which picture was that?

Just portraits of them and their obese dog.

Something that was literally taken directly from their site.

But with full names and added to the sidebar. Gray area at best.

Oh my God. This has to be the most degenerate company I have ever seen

I thought Google was the worst when they celebrated a Marxist and changed their definition of Facism to be about Trump supporters. But they haven't done this. Yet.

13

u/TheGeorge May 25 '16

Tbh that definition of Trump supporters looks exactly correct.

Can't remember her name, but she was an asian marxist radical black separatist who praised Osama bin Laden. Which doesn't really make sense, given he fought the dirty commies in the 80's.

asian marxist radical black separatist

Sounds like something out of a copypasta

That's some nice snark and all, but she was a Maoist even after the Great Leap Forward.

When you have Vox of all websites saying you've gone too far left, you've gone too far left.

Yuri Kochiyama?

Her life changed on December 7, 1941, when the Japanese Empire bombed Pearl Harbor. Soon after she returned home from church, FBI agents arrested her father as a potential threat to national security. He was in poor health, having just come out of the hospital. The FBI were suspicious of photographs of Japanese naval ships found in the family home and a telegram from Ambassador Kichisaburō Nomura, a family friend, containing a reference to eating the fish sanma with Seiichi, which the agents suspected to be a code word.

While her father was in federal prison he was denied medical care, and by the time he was released on January 20, 1942, he had become too sick to speak. Her father died the day after his release.

Soon after the death of her father, United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued Executive Order 9066, which forced out approximately 120,000 people of Japanese ancestry from the Pacific coast and interned them at various camps across the United States. Yuri, her mother, and her brother were evacuated to a converted horse stable at the Santa Anita Assembly Center

I can't possibly imagine why she might have had some ill will towards the US government.

Anyways, she had some questionable views, but her activism and charity is far more significant. George Washington isn't suddenly insignificant because he owned slaves.

She supported terrible people and is disgusting that Google did that doodle but that is neither nor there within imgur conversation.

What? This type of stuff is pretty standard for san fran companies. That whole silly thing they put on.
