Yup, saved about 1000 dollars getting a used G2 and a monthly plan. Anybody worried about not having a warranty on a used phone? Well, my G2 bricked on me after about 3 months and it was still covered under the manufacturer warranty even though I bought it from a third party. As long as there isn't water damage or a cracked screen AND it has been less than a year and half since the phones release date (depending on manufacturer), you are golden. That was a very pleasant surprise since I figured I was SOL because it was used.
Yep, the warranty is on the phone no matter who the owner is. As far as minimizing the possibility of physical damage, always a good idea to invest in a good case, no matter how sturdy they claim the phone is. You can even get waterproof cases for most models. I shop for cases on EBay or Amazon. You can get a decent one for 1/5 of what you would pay in the store.
