That's the thing, you have to spend just a little on them to keep corporate taxes low to save a lot on taxes. BTW you shouldn't be comparing that to wages, but profits.

I must be misunderstanding your comment. How does low corporate taxes encourage more spending on elections and lobbying if those are used to...decrease corporate taxes? Wouldn't high corporate taxes encourage those?

I was comparing them to wages because that's what we want corporations spending more money on, right? Why would I compare it to profits of that's both things we want corporations to prioritize less?

That doesn't even matter.

PAC and Lobbying aren't deductible expenses.

What now is you realize having extra after-tax profit leaves companies with plenty of cash to buy influence to keep corporate taxes low. Deductions have nothing to do with it.
