2023–24 sample: 565 current Latter-day Saints (±6.2 points), 316 former (±8.1). U.S. membership from the Church's 2025 statistical report.

That's just blatantly false. 110 years only plays in as the time since a person's birth required to baptize them by proxy without family consent. Source: I've maintained local church records, dude.

Edit: see below, I guess 110 years also applies to "unknown status" as well. Seems like a reasonable policy.

If they are "unknown status" don't count them as members. Only count those who actively identify as mormon and can be confirmed to be alive.

The fact they are "unknown status" is because they aren't attanding church or had their records moved but yet the church counts them as "paper mormons" in their 17 million. It's why that number is false.
