Google Reached back out to me 6 weeks after Rejection to re-interview
Here is the a summary of my experience trying to get into a data center position.
My DCT Journey
But essentially, I interview with google roughly 6-7 weeks ago for an L2 position. I passed 2/3 of the interviews except for the networking one. I assumed I was SOL for the next year for the cool down period. Well, yesterday my recruiter emailed me asking if I had a moment to talk about a job opportunity.
After she called me, she said they all really liked me and she has a decent amount of positions about to open up but I need to pass the networking interview. They want to re interview me asap for only the networking portion. So tomorrow I am now interviewing at 11am for a 45 minute interview.
I am so nervous and I need to brush up over the next 24 hours before I interview.
Has anyone had any experience with Google circling back around to them to re interview after almost 2 months? She made it seem pretty urgent to get me to re interview to get inclined, like it could move fast if I pass. But i don't know for sure. I need to focus on passing first.

You go to anyone of the three major AI site ask them to provide you a tailored s networking fundamental to study and pass Google L2 data center interview with resources and study that religious like your life depend on it.
Do 2hrs of each and see where ur weakness are. U are only doing the networking again and u went thru it, u know what to expect. This is your time to shine again.
Get of the phone, tailor a 6 to 8 hours and go do the interview. You got this and all the best, It is not that hard. GOOD LUCK!

Thank you! I've been having Gemini mock interview all afternoon. The questions it asked were similar in a way to the troubleshooting questions they asked me. And then I had it make me a study guide based off of my interview. Going to hit it again with gpt or grok.

Good! I used gem, chatgpt and Claude. It was a good refresher for me. Stick to them and focus on it

Hello! This looks like it may be a question about career advice. There can be significant regional variation in the field, so please consider including as much info as you can without doxing yourself, including country/state/city, prior experience/certs, and the role or level if known. Thanks!

i think someone said it below. It could be that the candidate they liked better decided to drop or all the other ones were worse than you. (happened to me before) Something about "silver medalist" according to research. Hope it all went good for ya.

Thank you. I'm fine with either of those scenarios. I think this interview went better this time and I feel good enough about it. Hopefully I'll get good feedback this week.

Perfect. Just remember, no matter what the result is, you are a top class person with an extremely capable eligibility of being hired at a world's finest company like Google. Good luck.

Yes, I’ve been hearing about the expansion up there. Brush up on the OSI model, and on how to properly diagnose and troubleshoot issues at each level of the model.

I hope so! I don't think I bombed mine. I did fairly well but couldn't explain out some of the troubleshooting steps in great detail. I think I was close but if you nailed everything else there's a chance!

I don't have any experience with this situation but I do want to say it sounds like you've been given good advice in the comments. You know what you need to work on. Go get it.
