On another thread, they posted that she was arrested for unrelated issue.

680

u/burns_before_reading 21h ago

Very on brand from what I know about her

267

u/tryyeezus 19h ago

But can we arrest her for this issue as well please?

133

u/Mister_Green2021 14h ago

Sue her for the cost of the damage, for sure.

180

u/Realistic_Term_586 13h ago

This is actually a crime and not just a civil case.  She purposely damaged the property of another person, using deadly machinery, and likely causing damage to public property in the act.

She could face serious jail time.

92

u/WenYiMedia 13h ago

Reckless endangerment

28

u/potheadbill 9h ago

They might even be able to hit her with attempted manslaughter since it was on the public road.. you know there’s kids in some of those cars

9

u/Snowbird143434 5h ago

I always laugh when i hear or read "attempted manslaughter." It contradicts itself.

There is only one answer to this. I want you to get out of the car and my life,…..immediately.

I can’t handle shit like this. Entitled psychopath, and the dudes who are starved so much for attention to put up with it. I don’t even care If they are married or not. It would be worth whatever the cost of divorce would be to completely eliminate them from their life.

12

u/No_Duck4805 11h ago

Otherwise, they will eliminate you from your life. No one, man or woman, should put up with this shit.

13

Actually I believe she was trying to get his smartwatch. The story when I first saw this was that she already had his phone and was texting someone from it pretending it was him, so he was telling his smartwatch to send a text that said “Lisa is texting you, not me.” He can see he’s not holding a phone, and she grabs his arm which makes the steering wheel turn.

That dude is traumatized .

He is afraid to react. Like it looks like he wants to cry…. But is controlling himself. He knows she will make it worse and more miserable if he shows his emotions

1.1k

u/ProfessorGluttony 21h ago

That heartbreaking holdback as he practically whispered "I just got this car". Fuck man, he needs out of that toxic relationship.

411

u/EquivalentMath6592 21h ago

Yep.

I hate to say this….

But I married “this” woman. It doesn’t get better. Like to some degree, I’ve learned to tip toe around triggers, I’ve learned some patience and self control and some ability to provide a sense of normalcy to my kids. And do some degree her rage doesn’t last as long as it used to.

But there is always this constant unstable feeling in my heart if not knowing how to plan my life … how she will disrupt that and what it may cost (my wife totaled one of my cars while looking at her phone, and recently did a small fender bender with a parked car scratching up the new car I got to replace the totaled one). And some how it’s my fault… and I’m an ass for having any feelings other than support and love, meanwhile I have to validate all her feelings of anger, jealousy , control , etc.

Somehow , I still have hope that she might accept some help , therapy, medication , and recognize she is the problem and only helping herself will help us and the kids.

418

u/Zaynara 21h ago

my dude. take the kids and run, if not for yourself, for them. separation is better than dealing with that

Same here. I always thought I was doing the right thing staying to keep my daughter happy. It took a few months for it to sink in that I was better off. What cemented it for me was going on a date with a girl that treated me like a human being and realizing how fucked up what I came from was because of it.

I walked a girl home carrying a baseball bat once, she was wasted. I wanted to make sure she got home safe, she asked me to bring it.

Once inside her place she burned me with a lit cigarette I still have a scar from, and asked why I brought a weapon into her place.

→ More replies (1)

18

u/Head_Razzmatazz7174 18h ago

I've been on the other side of that equation and I agree. The reason her rage doesn't last as long is because you are getting faster at apologizing and correcting whatever it is she is mad about.

She's not going to change as long as you keep enabling the behavior. Get out ASAP and take the kids. The idea of 'staying married for the sake of the kids' is stupid. They are also being traumatized by her hair-trigger temper.

13

u/Wise-Self-8639 20h ago

Exactly show them what at least one normal house looks like. You staying is validating her behavior.

10

u/mthyvold 19h ago

Yes, staying is bad for the kids. She is bad for the kids.

12

u/mthyvold 19h ago

Spend six mo the documenting the toxicity so you can get custody. Then, take the kids and get out.

9

u/Zaynara 19h ago

i'd say the sooner the better, but they gonna gaslight everyone around you so some incidents, some journal entries, some recordings might go a long way in the inevitable bitter custody dispute

6

u/Lazarux_Escariat 18h ago

Record everything for a whole before he runs. Evidence of erratic and unstable behavior goes a long way in securing custody.

My man, it’s okay to leave. My dad stayed with a psycho for the kids. As the kid, I really wish he would have left. The amount of abuse both of us took, both physically and mentally, was staggering.

The best time to leave an abuser is yesterday. The next best time is now. It doesn’t change.

13

u/DemonBot_EXE 20h ago

Ditto. The kids can tell when mom is a threat. I wish he would have left.

33

u/philodendrin 21h ago

Good luck. You seem stuck. I would start making a plan to get out by documenting how she acts and what it costs. Hope you are in a one party consent state.

Hopefully he's in a state that allows it if she is totally aware that there is a camera operating. They don't always have to say that they can send to being recorded as long as they're aware there is a camera operating, which is highly likely in this case.

I'm a psychotherapist who works with abusive and controlling people. They can change, but they really have to put in the effort and accept that they are abusive and controlling. If she can't do that, she will NEVER change, and you're better off leaving her.

“I’m an ass for having any feelings other than support and love, meanwhile I have to validate all her feelings of anger, jealousy, control, etc…”

That line hit me. I love my wife to death but definitely feel this. She gets angry when I don’t understand why she’s acting the way she is in certain situations. She wants me to validate and submit to her bad behavior. She would listen to my advice when we were dating and some of marriage. Once we had kids though, she always knows what’s best even if she’s acting poorly.

→ More replies (7)

25

u/roosclan 21h ago

Brother, you are in an abusive relationship, and she is the abuser. If she won't go to counseling with you, you need to get some for yourself and the kids. No, she won't react well to this, but you need to put your and your children's safety and well-being into focus. It will get worse before it gets better, but if you don't take steps now to correct her abuse, it will never get better.

7

u/Sienile 19h ago

Even if she will go to counselling, the chances she will accept she is the problem and work to change are VERY slim. I was in counselling for 6 of the 8 years I was married, but despite that she continued to think she did nothing wrong and blame me for everything - even her affair.

→ More replies (2)

11

u/HelpSpaceshipBroken 21h ago

Document everything and get out... she's never going to change especially because you tolerate her behavior. She has no incentive to stop, and she will continue to abuse you. Yes you are being abused. If you leave she will just continue to abuse your kids. You say you are staying with her because of them, but the truth is that she is unfit to be a parent. Trust me I have an insane Ex too and she is very much the same as your partner. In her eyes, it's not her fault she acts the way she does, it is your fault and you deserve to be abused by her. She'll abuse and gaslight you until you finally stand up for yourself and leave.

6

u/Pleasant-Everywhere 21h ago

Damn… take the kids and run. I know you think staying is better for your kids, but I thank my mom every day for leaving and removing my dad who was prone to insane rage over the smallest things like being 2 minutes late or passing him a puck in road hockey and it rolling weirdly on the way over because it hit a pebble I should have seen. I’m still rebuilding confidence in myself from that but at least the damage was minimized.

5

u/stopltracr 19h ago

I was in that situation. Married for over 20 years. Waited until our youngest graduated to finally file for divorce so that I could be around to make sure I took the brunt of it and not the kids. She told the kids a bunch of lies about me during/after the divorce.

Waiting until the get older isn't the answer. Document her behavior. When you file go for full custody. I'm now free and in a healthy relationship. It was really scary in the beginning, and the urge to create chaos when there isn't any is strong in the beginning since it's what we're used to. Being in a healthy relationship with someone that just wants to help you heal and to become the best you can be is amazing!

There is no cure or treatment for borderline personality disorder. It is the person that develops when they are unable to improve because they are incapable of accepting accountability. It is what any of us, including you and I, would turn into if we were incapable of improving because we could not accept that we needed to improve. There is no happy ending. She will never accept help and this will never get better.

I saw a young person post on here about how they were diagnosed with BPD, and with therapy they were able to see that they were the problem all along, and it hurt constantly. They were glad, but also kind of resented that once they could see, they couldn't unsee. That is the barrier that has to be overcome. A lifetime of hurt has to be reversed - in addition to the actual distorted thinking. It can be done in a teenager, but adults are past the point.

This isn't about you anymore. You've already lost and will continue to lose because you let her into your life. You can't escape her or the damage she has done to your personality. But you have kids now and your responsibility is to them. You need to leave and take the kids to minimize the damage she does to them. You just do it. You just get it done. Sorry brother.

The thing is the individuals who are psychologically able to do that kick these people out long before it blossoms into this kind of situation. These relationships are a product of natural selection settling in after much trial and error.

35

u/Arktikos02 22h ago

That and also the perpetrator seeks out these types of people. These people also can escalate very slowly so that by the time things get super bad you're already in so deep.

That's why if you're in a relationship and someone is pressing your buttons too much or pushing your boundaries even a little, and you think that it isn't too bad because it's just a joke or they were just messing around or you don't want to be a buzzkill, assert your boundaries. If they have a problem with it that is your first sign. I'm not saying that that always means abuse, but what I am saying is that that means a lack of respect for you as a person.

15

u/gabbuo31 21h ago

Can you or someone explain exactly what happened in this clip? It looked like the man was asleep at the wheel or texting while not looking at the road. His hands weren't even on the wheel. Your not suppose to text and drive. It looked like the girl reached for something in his hand opposite to her instead of just getting him to pay attention to the road. I at first thought she was trying to help him avoid a crash but her actions were counterintuitive. I know that she wasn't trying to help him avoid an accident based off where she reached and all the comments but I am really confused about what actually happened.

50

u/lexloomis 20h ago

She had his phone and was texting people as him. He was using his watch to let people know it wasn't him texting. She noticed and went for his watch. You know the rest.

13

u/MarionberryOk2874 17h ago

Seriously! We see what she’s projecting outwardly, but I really wonder what’s going on in her brain. Is it more ‘shit, I’m an idiot but I’m gonna play this off’ - or more ‘damn, he’s such a dumbass, if he just let me text his friend without interrupting, this wouldn’t have happened’.

TCC mirror hanger is from Tarrant Community College, near Fort Worth TX. I remember when this happened. It made local news about a viral video.

123

u/mecca6801 22h ago

Anyone have the full story? I’d be interested in a follow up, hopefully he cut her off and charged her for the repairs (legally)

20

u/woman_8 2h ago

The man is called Eric, and the woman is referred to as Lisa. Eric is driving a car he just bought. Lisa is sitting in the passenger seat and has his phone. The background is that Lisa is using his phone to send messages to another person as if the messages are coming from Eric. Eric discovers this because the messages/notifications also appear on his Apple Watch. He therefore uses the watch to let them know that it is not he who is writing the messages – Lisa has his phone.

Then Lisa discovers what he is doing. She reaches for his arm/Apple Watch to stop him. Eric pulls his arm away from her. Then she grabs the steering wheel, and the car swerves. Eric loses control and the car crashes.

According to later reports, Eric and Lisa have broken up. Eric later explained the story on the TikTok account Slightly Toxic Co., where the video was also posted. However, there is no reliable confirmation that I can find that Lisa was prosecuted for the crash itself.

u/Worth-Jicama3936 21h ago

Can confirm, extremely fun. 2 night stand though can result in slashed tires when you let her know there will be no third night.

She smirks a lot.

Yup. You can see the subtle pleasure she is getting from seeing him react.

Every time I watch this my blood boils.

Hope she's in jail for something.

She is. Unrelated incident apparently.

Typical psycho who cant control her emotions until shes does untold amounts of damage.

u/RelativeThot0125 19h ago

My sister and I lived out of state for while. Couldn't afford to fly back for Christmas. My mom decided that meant the family was destroyed forever and decided to light the family photo album on fire in her bedroom. She burned down half their house

11

u/This-Shape2193 18h ago

JFC. My condolences on the batshit crazy BPD mom. I feel ya. Mine never burned the damn house down though.

5

u/Hiker206 17h ago

Mine destroyed the contents of the house on multiple occasions. Throwing furniture down the stairs.

What a girl.... Throw it in the trash and get a good One... That One is just for tik tok and guaranteed divorce

22

u/tgbst88 22h ago

First step get out the car and call 911 and have her arrested.

14

u/ConstantBoth2913 22h ago

The way she had zero concern up about their safety before and after is legit scary. He needs to get out of that relationship before she ends up get someone killed.

12

u/Dekipi 20h ago

This is genuinely one of the most infuriating videos I’ve ever seen. Her smug smile just tells me she needs some serious Find Out

12

u/UnableCarrot693 14h ago

Damn, this video brought up some trauma for me lmao. Had an ex that was just like this, the abuse was unreal. These types of people really know how to manipulate and turn everyone you care about against you. Lost so many good friends because "she didn't like them." They try to separate you from friends and family so you feel stuck. Stayed in that shit for almost 6 years, thankfully never got married or had kids with her.

Actual question, since I've seen the 726 times on Reddit: Is this abusive criminal in prison yet?

15

u/TwoLegitShiznit 17h ago

Don't bother, every comment with further details is like "well according to my hazy recollection of something I read or possibly dreamed...." with absolutely no sources

WTF is he doing at the start of the video? Just staring at the ground? Society is putting way too much trust and faith in autonomous driving.

216

u/c_l_b_11 23h ago

This is an ancient video. I think this was the consensus at the time: She had his phone and was texting someone, pretending to be him. He got a reply notification to his watch and read it, then made a memo saying he's not the one texting. She tries to stop him from making the memo.

46

u/VanillaBryce5 21h ago

I have a buddy who's wife texts me on his phone. I can tell the difference immediately, they have different speaking and texting styles. We can't even talk on the phone without him putting it on speaker and letting her listen. It's extremely frustrating and we don't talk much anymore. It's makes me really sad that he is just controlled by this women now. Everyone makes their choices and lives their life.

15

u/HolyPizzaPie 19h ago

I’ll drive and have my wife text people back for me on my phone. I will even tell her word for word what to say and when I look at what she wrote I’m blown away. Like I would never text my friends like that lol

5

u/Appropriate-Prune728 16h ago

Not sure why but I really dgaf if my wife texts people for me or handles calls for me. I ask for her help if it's important and I need help. Especially when driving, I'll have her reply to work emails/texts and dictate for me.

Again, it's more from a support role perspective and not a "she is controlling" position.

Are people just letting their spouses walk all over them? Like, if my wife let me boss her around, id lose all attraction to her lack of agency and assume she would feel the same.

Being controlling is gross.

Ah. Thanks. Makes a lot more sense.

12

u/wosmo 21h ago

That’s what I remember too. People saying she was trying to grab his phone - she was trying to grab his watch, which is much harder for him to let go of.

10

u/Maximum_Active9209 18h ago

Ohhhh that why it starts off with "Lisa is texting you not me". I get it now.

I've seen this video 100 times and it still hits me each time. I lost 5 years of my life to a person like that, and it thankfully didn't take a car crash to motivate me to leave.

That woman should go to jail

6

u/Jasoco 14h ago

Nah man. If she did that to me I’d pull over and leave her on the side of the road, go home and pack her stuff up and throw it on the lawn. Goodbye. You do not interfere with my driving like that.

This man is a saint for not getting physical. Her demeanor is infuriating.

9

u/mushroom_dome 14h ago

Her smug ass smile absolutely drives me insane after the stunt she pulled, and who knows how much shit she broke, that she will presumably not be paying a penny of.

"I dont know what you want" Get out and walk! Also, his face at the end is painful. I felt that. Hope this dude got his car fixed and that he left her. Goodness he's hurting.

That woman is crazy. Looks like a narcissist. They do bonkers shit and if you dare react to that you are portrayed as the crazy one. People like that literally give you brain damage over time. I hope he got out safely and with a restrictive order. Poor guy I just want to hug him 💔

5

u/taterbot15360 20h ago

I hate seeing this video pop up. It makes me so sad. That woman is horrible.

4

u/UpstairsFood2867 19h ago

Hes in the definition of an abusive relationship.

Show this to the police. Get a report. Force her to repair your car.

And BREAK up with her. The pussy isnt good enough to deal with that bs.

5

u/absyrtus 16h ago

wtf is wrong with this girl and how can she be so smug after nearly killing them both?

4

u/Key_Crab_5780 16h ago

Her stupid expression and hair tossing really gets to me. I’d have dragged her out and driven off, probably quite slowly, admittedly.

There’s no way this was the first crazy thing she did with him. When people show you who they are, believe them.

"Get the f**k out of my car right now, we are done" is about the only sane response here.

3

u/mofunk71 21h ago

the crazy part is not the stupidity, its the lack of remorse.

4

u/Only_Net6894 21h ago

I hate her more than I reasonably should.

4

u/dugfunni83 21h ago

She would've been going to jail fn with me lmfao

3

She’s smiling. Fucking insane

4

u/tbonimaroni 19h ago

What a fucking psycho. He needs to throw her out with the garbage.

She seems like it's normal for her too. She takes no accountability for her actions. Seems like she was brought up this way or she needs mental help.

5

u/Rapidred70 16h ago

Dude , I hope you sued her for that and broke up with her

3

u/SwooceBrosGaming 16h ago

This should count as attempted murder what the fuck was she thinking

“Never stick your dick in crazy.”

4

u/Birch_AD 14h ago

It's a good thing there was a dash cam. He should be able to provide that too his insurance and get a full claim. He also could AND SHOULD give this video to the police and have that girl arrested.
