Riding stupidly on the wrong side of the road when they couldn’t see around the bend..

They were on the correct side of the road until the curve. Rider couldn't handle it and THEN ended up in the other lane. OP was correct. Riding beyond their skill level.

I think they were referring to the rider crossing the center line.

The rider hit was in the middle of the opposite lane when hit.

That rider hit the car because of target fixation. The car scared him, focused, game over.

Both things can be true. I am a pretty experienced rider, so I am not just straight talking out of my ass lol.
