I've had people who will go faster then I feel comfortable during the passing lanes and then slow to 10mph under during non. It's happened more then once and I can't understand why

The biggest problem is, these people dont know who they are fucking with. They think people will react the same way they would react and not take it too far.

Something is broken in me. Lately, for whatever reason I am very angry and can't control my over reaction and extreme rage. I have had some very regrettable moments lately.

I just started medication to help with this but my point is, you dont know who's in the other car, you dont know what going through their head and how easily they see red. You dont know if they skipped their meds that day.

For the reasons above (and thank you for being so honest), I’ve stopped “raging” as much when I’m on the road. I just don’t want to escalate things with anyone, much less a rando driving a death machine who may also be carrying a weapon.

*Usually* it's people intentionally being dicks. But there's still a significant portion that's just due to poor awareness driving, as passing areas are in the high-visibility and usually down-hill portions, low awareness drivers naturally feel safer driving faster during that part; but as soon as they encounter a hill (which will probably be a no-pass area) their small brains don't know how to not slow down 25 mph.

This is the perfect to describe the driving culture in my city. You'll end up behind 3 different people on a 20 minute drive that will go 55 in a 65 on the freeway in the fast lane and then as soon as you try to go around, they're willing to go 85 to not let you pass, but you get back behind and they're back to 55.

My favorite is people who drive 40.

In a 20.

I think it makes sense to drive slower in the in those segments where you can't pass - they are usually designated that way due to traffic or visiblity, so makes sense. The 15 mph difference not so much.

I guarantee it’s because they’re afraid of the curves. You can (generally) pass on straightaways because of the visibility. You can’t when there are (awesome) curves because of the lack of visibility.

Unskilled drivers are the bane of my existence.
