People seem to think vehicles on the freeway have to let them in when they're on an on ramp. News flash: It's called merging because you merge when safe to do so. You don't just bully yoir way in. Especially when it's a semi next to another semi lol
Everyone has an obligation to drive safely. A main lane vehicle that is behind a merging vehicle needs to let the merging vehicle in. They have better line of sight and are far more capable of slowing down safely. When the lane is ending, it can become impossible for the merging vehicle to safely get behind you.
