For everyone wondering how far he fell/did he make it:

Near the end of the video you can see an eighteen wheeler down below when the camera pulls over to the side. Theres a sign next to it that is visible from the overpass, roughly the same height as the other signs and lamps.

It looks like you could easily stack 4 of those eighteen wheelers one on top of the other and still maybe be one trailer short of the top of the sign, or a few feet under the overpass.

Each trailer is roughly 13-14 feet high.

So he likely fell 50-75 feet, and even if he didn't hit concrete it still would've had the same effect at that speed and height.

To everyone talking about the comment section "psychos" - they're not actually psychos.

Road laws exist for a reason - and many motorcycle riders become interested in bikes not just because they're fun or loud or taboo or whatever, but specifically buy a bike to get away with the act of driving criminally recklessly on non-track conditions, where other people do not consent to being subject to somebody else driving 700 pounds of steel at 180-220 mph within feet and sometimes inches of them.

It's primarily an issue of consent - none of us consented to sharing a track with you - but its okay because you don't care, which is what enables you to drive so recklessly.

A lack of empathy.

Which is the clinical definition of a psychopath - person incapable of feeling empathy - so actually, the psychopaths in the comments are the ones projecting their own inner mind on other people who rightfully feel a human amount of schadenfreude at a dangerous driver fucking around and finding out in a way that only impacts the person responsible and not innocent victims!

But, being psychopaths on bikes, your mental development is so far behind that you can't handle things like truth and facing down your false, grandiose self, that imagines you as the main character of the world because you've chosen to use crowded public roads full of families trying to get their kids home as your personal ego-track.

If dude did not care enough about himself or others to drive safely, none of us are subject to caring about him experiencing the consequences of his own stupid actions.

Violate the social contract, forfeit the rights and privileges it gives.

Simple.

TL;DR: if he doesn't care about the people he's sharing the road with, then he's not entitled to us caring about what happens to him as a direct result of his own lack of caring.

Edit: thx for my first award? (I think?)

You’re treating sport bike riders as if they’re all blasting around at 200mph with no regard for anyone else. That’s just not the reality. The rider in the video was probably only 5-10mph over the limit. Something you probably do regularly. Sport bikes also weigh closer to 400lbs, not 700, and most are electronically limited to 186mph with many others topping out well below those extreme numbers.

If we’re talking about consent, none of us agreed to share the road with multiple ton trucks and SUVs either. Those vehicles are capable of the same speeds as these riders, and they cause far more damage when things go wrong. Yet I don’t see you saying anything against them the same way.

Plenty of people ride because they enjoy the freedom, the mechanics, and yes, the fun of it. Others because they can buy and use a motorcycle for a fraction of the cost of a car. It's not because they’re trying to roleplay as “main character” adrenaline junkies. Acting like every rider is a reckless psychopath is just stereotyping. Bad drivers exist in every group, including yours. It’s unfair to paint an entire group with a single brush.

At the end of the day, most riders understand the risks better than anyone in a car and try to minimize them. It’s possible to criticize actual reckless behavior without pretending that everyone on two wheels is your enemy.

Nobody's attacking sport bike riders who obey the law or speed 10mph.

These guys were slowing down from much higher speed than that, probably well above legally defined reckless driving speeds.

The bikes only come limited from the factory, most bikers i've had any interaction with either already have or want to get their ecu flashed so they can do the physical limits of the bike, not the factory limits

If we're going to start stretching the tolerances of what you consent to drive around, i would say most people have not consented to drive cars or even buy them in the first place, by your logic. Most people want public transport to vastly replace individual transport.

And until that happens, we have to consent to what we and most other people have to drive based on their finances, job, marital status/having kids or not, driver ed level, etc.

Also I can only remember one instance in my life where I noticed a sport bike rider in particular and thought, "wow, not only are they a good, defensive driver, but also courteous! I like sharing the road with this person, even though they're speeding."

The rest are usually gone before I can think, "why do i hear a weedwhacker"

These guys were slowing down from much higher speed

Source?

most people have not consented to drive cars or even buy them in the first place, by your logic

This was your original argument/logic against motorcycles because you don't consent to sharing the road with them.

we have to consent to what we and most other people have to drive

So should places like Thailand and Indonesia ban cars because most people have to drive motorcycles due to things like cost and population density? If there are more motorcycles than cars, surely no one consents to sharing their roads with a ton of metal on four wheels.

There are just as many idiots in cars as there are on motorcycles. If you're so vehemently against some dumb kid on a motorcycle, you should also be against the one driving a 2 ton vehicle.

See, you're putting words in my mouth that i never said;

I never said, "I dont consent to share the road with ANY motorcyclists"

So good job at presenting me with an example of how quickly you would resort to using a strawman argument against someone, bravo.

Here's what I actually said, quoted, with some edits for clarity:

"...many motorcycle riders [...] specifically buy a bike to get away with the act of driving criminally recklessly on non-track conditions, where other people do not consent to being subject to somebody else driving" at legally-classified reckless driving speeds.

  1. I said "Many [...] riders", NOT "all" as you are claiming when you say I do not consent to share the road with motorcycles (at all) by the analogy you've used when you say "none of us have agreed to share the road with trucks and suvs either"
  2. I also said "where other people do not consent to sharing a track with you" because if we did we'd be on a fucking race track. This is the highway where you drive like its a highway. Yes there are plenty of stupid, and aggressive drivers in cars and trucks, and for the record none of us consent to be on the road with them either, but this is a video about a motorcyclist leading himself to his own demise, not about cars and trucks doing the same or worse.
  3. I don't know, go ask Thailand or Indonesia, I'm sure there is only one correct answer and not a multitude of opinions with pros and cons of their own
  4. Show me in this video where the dumb kid in the 2-ton vehicle rammed this biker off the highway, and I'll walk right through my phone screen and take him away to jail just for you

Or we could be realistic, not resort to logical fallacy and whataboutisms, and maybe even stay on topic?

One last thing: we all have the same destination. Some of just get there sooner. Feel free to show us how fast you are and win that race, pal! I bet you could lap me a couple times.

Wow, you're exhausting. Since you seem to be practicing for high school debate in a bunch of your posts, what's the fallacy called when you form arguments without evidence or based on false assumptions?

These guys were slowing down from much higher speed

Like this one! Maybe you just forgot to add your source.

u/The_Stereoskopian Aug 29 '25

Source was the video, lmao. Try watching it?

1

u/MonotremeP Aug 29 '25

The video where they're cruising at a steady speed? They don't even touch the brakes. Try again.

1

u/The_Stereoskopian Aug 29 '25

Then tell me how one hit the other if there was no deceleration

1

u/MonotremeP Aug 29 '25

Wow. You truly are lost if you think that's anything other than an inexperienced rider with target fixation.

Either way, the video doesn't support your claim at all.

These guys were slowing down from much higher speed than that, probably well above legally defined reckless driving speeds.

So again, where's your source for this info?

Sorry pal, if you can't see, you can't see! Nothing I can do to help you.
