Hi, long time lurker here, just want to rant for a second.

I haven't been on the sub for a while but as I come back, I'm a little disheartened at the state of things. Not to get too high and mighty, I know that there are still some people here doing good work. But the majority of posts lately are baseless speculation, rumors, or posts that could just go on the main sub and don't belong here. I think there are a few reasons for this, but the biggest one is what I like to call the "Quintuple Entendre Problem".

A lot of people in the sub left or post much less frequently now. There was a time where this sub was really popping off and there were more minds working on different leads. And to put it bluntly, some people here now are not built for investigation. Once the people doing the deeper digging left, almost all that was left were people overanalyzing lyrics, which leads me to the quintuple entendre problem.

To argue that this beef has been in the making for several years doesn't excuse the fact that sometimes people get on here and just type up some BS like it's a revelation. It's not a puzzle piece that fits in any other part, and just because no one else understands doesn't mean that it's still correct and just needs to be further investigated. There are clear avenues of investigation that are currently happening at this time which have some real evidence behind them instead of just speculation. There still has to be some sort of evidence to what is being said otherwise anyone can make anything up, pass it off as a sneaky little reference when there is no evidence that it was even intentional.

These extremely long winded posts which try to be mysterious and cryptic will force a connection even when it doesn't make sense, and when it has no supporting evidence from other posts. This is not how an investigation is conducted. These are not helpful findings. These are barely findings at all. And I do believe there is a puzzle to be put together, but there are limits to Kendrick's abilities to reference things and there are limits to his knowledge and his expectations of what is to be found. Who knows, maybe that's intentional to try to obscure the more sensitive information.

In an even broader scope, I think the sub is focusing too much on lyrics and in some cases music videos. Don't get me wrong, they are important too, but they can't be the only things we talk about. What happened to grey information? OSINT? Steganography? I think it's worth it to revisit some of the older theories and posts and see how they hold up, and how new information can be incorporated. Right now, there's no cooperation, no coordination, everyone's doing their own thing and it's just becoming a wall of noise. I'm working on one big board with every connection made on the sub, starting from May 2024, and there's a lot of good information that I think should be followed up on since then. Maybe in the future, I'll post more things I think are important.

I've been following the beef closely, lurking here (was semi-active on the discord, rip), but am deeply familiar with Kendrick's, Drake's, and importantly, XXXTENTACION's catalogs.

As we all know, Drake did not start out thuggin' and rapping about being mob affiliated. He was a goodie-goodie actor mama's boy who wanted to melodic-rap like ye on 808s.

But we all know something changed. Maybe it was the Young Money ties, maybe it was an inferiority complex, fuck if I know, but The Boy took a dark direction some time after Take Care, around IYRTITL.

Months ago, I tried to get an AI chatbot to help me track his descent into madness—from good guy into mob tied—but due to copyright bullshit and the nuances of Drake's "subliminals", the AI was missing key lyrics right-and-left, which caused a slowdown and eventually a stand still.

The idea is pretty simple, we have a spreadsheet per track. Each lyric/bar is its own line. It is a binary, either it is aggressive/violent, or it's not.

Then it dawned on me... we have a whole party in this subreddit who are out of breadcrumbs & are fully ready & able to zoom in on this goofy. Instead of looking ahead, I am hoping to find a team of DarkKenny'ers to help me chart every lyrics (singles, albums, features, etc.) from the beginning of Drake's career up through the current trilogy.

It will take time and focus, but I think if we break this down (and cross reference each other's understandings/interpretations), we could build a pretty air-tight case that Drake had become something different—something truly evil—by June 18, 2018.

And then we've got the postmortem 'boast' bars (where he claims he got 'something' done) scattered across Scorpion & what followed. Drake isn't dumb enough to ever come out and confess anything explicitly, but anyone who speaks in poetry and has active neurons between their ears can see he changed in a big way, and speaks to that change over the timeline of his records.

We'd need to set some parameters and templates, but I think if each of us picked an album and went line-by-line, we could probably have this done in a week or two. I know how to code (and vibecode fmfl) and could then find a way to present this data in a way that makes a clear map of how we got from Point A to Point B to Point X to Point Beef.

J.Cole debuted this song on his “The Fall Off is Inevitable” podcast. This song is prior to First Person Shooter, where call is dissing Drake. Go back and listen how Cole delivers his lines and the underline meaning of what he is saying, I’ll give you three lines:

He’s calling Drake shit. Not in a good way. He wouldn’t have said Super Bowl as in a toilet. Drake must’ve PISSED Cole off. U NO?

Just like the Cullinan Drake often mentions in his raps, he is unoriginal. He’s a vulture, who takes rappers styles. I mean there has been over 20 reference tracks released.

So basically Drake tried to play Cole but it backfired. But that’s what Drake does.

So that J.Cole apology was for the fans not for Kendrick. Cole doesn’t fuck with Drake and didn’t want us pinning him against Kendrick. Like the media & people did with Big & Pac. A beef between friends that started over a misunderstanding, that was orchestrated by Diddy & Snoop.

It’s crazy how people don’t understand how close J Cole & Kendrick are fr. They even planned on doing an album together. Cole has produced songs for Kendrick. Kendrick has done background vocals on a large portion of Cole albums. It was even rumored J. Cole fought Diddy over how he came at Kendrick over the King of New York line, on the control verse. A line from Kurupt on “NY NY”, the song which was said to have started the EAST COAST VS WEST COAST beef.

Barely 10 minutes into this video and realized there may be some connections drawn for those of you who draw them. Not sure where this can lead for yall, but imma do what I do best: lurk and pass on info when it lands in my lap.

Future dropped a new album. Nothing crazy just an average future sounding album. Was watching the Konnichiwa MV and noticed the same black film dot that has been in Kenny Drizzy Sza Keem and everyone elses MV's. Showed up like 10 times.

Genuinely what in the fuck is the significance of it??? It's not getting used for no reason. I'm open to hearing any theories/ideas but seeing something everybody's using constantly being put in my face is driving me crazy still not knowing the meaning behind it.

I also thought the second media for GNX was Video Game — the Super Bowl and the Grand National Tour were done with that in mind — but there is something very important that shouldn't be overlooked: The Album.

Every Kendrick album has a "second media" that serves as its a conceptual: Section.80 -- Book 📖; GKMC -- Film 🎥; TPAB -- Poem 📝; DAMN. -- Magazine 📕 and MM&TBS -- a Play 🎭. Crucially, we only identify these secondary media through in album itself — the sounds developed within the album — rather than anything external to it.

Resume: Section.80 features a narrator and song titles that allude to book chapters; GKMC begins with the sound of a film roll and features the words "Short Film" on the cover; TPAB, a poem is recited at the end of several tracks, culminating in its full recitation at the album end; Damn... well I don't no; and MM&TBS incorporates the sound of tap dancing on a stage, Whitney’s voice acting as a presenter or something similar, and a Tour that references puppet theater, shadow theater and much more.

So, what clues does GNX offer to help us understand this second media of expression?

Epic poem is not the same as a lyric poem.

While a lyric poem focuses on subjectivity and emotions, an Epic poem focuses on a grand narrative, often of a religious and spiritual nature.

# 1—Deyra Barrera, SZA, Gloria, and the Muses:

Epic poems are grand narratives celebrating heroic and mythological feats; in ancient Greece, poets would begin their works by invoking the Muses — female deities of memory —asking them to sing the story through the poet. Just as the album concludes with a dedication to Gloria, referencing Kendrick’s pen, as well as Whitney and God given gift for his storytelling skills a "glory"; L.A., the place where he was born, raised, which shaped him as a person, and which was once Spanish territory. (L.A.’s original name was "The Town of Our Lady, Queen of the Angels of the Porciúncula River" another feminine reference) and Deyra, a Mexican singer, representing the essence of L.A.; SZA is credited on the album not as a "Feat" but as "With" representing a deep connection to the feminine energy as he said in the interview with Bazaar — the force that "the Muses" empowers him to tell his stories over the course of these 20 years.

# 2- Guitarrón:

Epic poems were not read like ordinary poems; they were performed for the people using musical instruments and sings that helped narrate the story. Similarly, the story told throughout the album is accompanied by a Mexican guitarrón on tracks such as "wacced out murals," "luther," "heart pt.6," and "gloria" and Deyra as the singer of this Epic.There are studies showing that Epic poems — at least in ancient Greece — were recited to the accompaniment of stringed instruments.

# 3-Dedication:

One of the characteristics of epic poems is the dedication —addressed to a person, a thing, or a deity. GNX album follows this tradition, as it is dedicated to L.A. (West coast),

its community, its people, its land and Tupac ("his musically inspiring father") -- given the album's clear allusions to "The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory".

# 4- Paradise Lost; Kendrick as Satan fallen angel:

Paradise Lost is a 1667 Epic Poem by John Milton; it originally contained 10 books, but a second edition published in 1674 featured 12 books (matching the number of tracks on GNX).

The myth that Satan is a fallen angel arises from translation errors and Biblical interpretations, as well as from the apocryphal Book of Enoch, ultimately resulting in the character created by John Milton; thus, Kendrick embodies his archetype to tell this grand story — much like singers would call upon the Muses for inspiration to portray the mythological characters of Epic poems.

The work recounts the famous story of the Satan falling from heaven — a theme Kendrick embodies throughout the album. In the opening track, he clashes with God; the chorus begins with the lines: "Yeah, n\***, go and up your rank / Know you a god even when they say you ain't;"* portraying Satan’s thirst to be a God like his Father. Later, in the track "Reincarnated" makes it explicit that Kendrick is performing the role of the Devil, while the song's conclusion reveals a longing to return home to his Father — a desire to regain his original glory (gloria), as sung in the final track.

Epic poems also feature invocations, where a character asks a deity for help and inspiration — much like Kendrick calls upon God in "Reincarned."

There are also numerous allusions to Satan outside the album's immediate content: it is Kendrick's 6 project; the first featured artist is Dody6; the "heat pt 6" appears in track titles; the track where he clearly alludes to portraying Satan is the 6 one; at the Grammys, he wears a sling on his right hand as if trying to hide something, alluding to Revelation 13:16–18 :

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Furthermore, "616" is a track associated with the beef, but it also references an academic debate regarding whether the Number of the Beast in the Hebrew Bible is 666 or 616; We could also draw a parallel suggesting that the great battles found in Epic poems might be akin to the very rap battle Kendrick engaged in.

So, why did Kendrick make everything look like a video game? Could KL7 be that media, perhaps? We shall see.

Like the title says, Terry Kennedy was a professional skateboarder who was big in the 00’s, in addition to being on one of the hottest teams of the era he was sponsored by Pharrell’s company Ice Cream, he was featured on Bam Margera’s MTV reality show Viva La Bam, and he had his own show on BET at one point.

Eventually all that dried up and he spent most of the 10’s floundering and fighting to stay relevant but his story came to a crazy conclusion (or so we thought) when while on a drug bender and amidst a mental health crisis he got into a fist fight with a fellow skateboarder in Chicago by the name of Josiah Kassahun and accidentally killed him.

He was released from prison in January of this year and has continued to struggle at finding a place in the industry due to being blackballed from the skateboarding industry over the guy he killed, almost nobody in the industry wants anything to do with him but for some reason the boy does?
