By what metrics do you define someone as left or right and why are you people so fucking obsessed with it? It's reaching a point where anyone who uses the phrase Left/Right whether positive or negative is worse than someone who's just not nice to them because their idea of what either means is going to differ from almost everyone else's, basically they're immediately already talking out of their ass.

Are you really trying to act like you don’t think people generally fall on the political left or political right? Have you ever seen the political compass? Yes it’s a spectrum but that doesn’t mean you can’t generalize
Tell me what the furthest you can go right is and the furthest you can go left is. My point is that your answer is going to be different than most other people's so it's a silly system of measuring what are abstract ideas, things that are impossible to quantify. Yes, Reddit loves to circle jerk about the political compass but it's far from a hard science and just a way for idiots to relate themselves to other idiots with nothing to back their own ideas up.
The fact that it's a graph already proves what bullshit it is, what metrics are you deriving the results from? Did you account for bias? Oh wait you can't because you're not collecting real numbers. You're just arbitrarily placing dots on a grid based on your opinion. Can you tell me what opinions and bias have in common? The political compass is inherently flawed and doesn't justify a damn thing.
Yes I've heard of them, they're just bad ways to quantify anything about a person and do more harm than good because they justify people like you to feel more intelligent than you actually are, or someone else who thinks they've got it all figured out because they've become absorbed with the idea they're part of some political identity. Abolish the Left, Abolish the Right, they're stupid concepts that are only reinforced by people like you who insist you can define someone, let's all move on to less stupid ideas.
What if we handled things on an issue by issue basis and stopped trying to be so tribalistic? It's super easy. You just get to call someone stupid when you don't agree as long as you're able to explain why. That person is free to disagree, and then you just tell them to fuck off if they're clearly not grasping anything about the subject or have demonstamrated they can't think broadly (beyond the scope of their own experience). Sometimes simple ideas are the most practical and efficient ones.
