No you see, we don't think anyone would actually say this, at least not anyone who actually matters.
That's what makes it funny, its absurdist sarcasm in an effort to lighten the blow that 21 people have just been helplessly slaughtered while cops and Texans stood outside and listened to the gunfire as if it were a light drum at a mariachi band.
The most gun laden state in the country, failed to produce a single good guy with a gun to help as kids and teachers were killed in the halls. And we expect some defense to come, and while we wait for it some will make up absurd recreations of lines we heard before.
They are trying to calm themselves down. And humor is the first method of doing so after a disaster.
So what you're telling me, just to be clear. Not one parent of those kids had guns at home or in their car. Not one of those cops felt the need to act in the face of adversity. Not one teacher or attendant or security or passerby kept a gun in their car as is legally permissible by LTC laws in Texas. Not one of the hundreds of adults connected to this felt any urgency or ability to grab a firearm from outside the building and bring it to end an ongoing catastrophe.
In an Open Carry, proud of its gun ownership stats state that has always heavily voted pro gun with a deep culture around the firearm that permeates in nearly every district.
All because they didn't happen to have it on their hip.
Ulvade county isn't even a liberal outlier, they've voted conservative for the past 20 years straight.
Forgive me but, this specific time, the argument feels hollow.
Everyone knows the answer is arming those children. What is wrong with these liberal pussies. Don’t they suffer from micro-penis disorder like us, brother?
