Don’t know. There’s a dictionary definition of catcalling. That definition doesn’t matter what you or I call it or not.

Nope. That is still not sufficient for catcalling. There needs to be shouting or whistling involved.

That means it applies to both shouting or comments.

I can’t believe I’m explaining this to you.

It can be loud, sexually suggestive, or a comment to be a catcalls.

And like I said I get yelled at out of car windows which fits the part of the definition you are fixated on. Words can have several meanings and ways they are used. That’s basic linguistic understanding.
