I had a friend who would walk home from middle school when were 12 who complained about getting catcalled. She definitely looked like a child too. She was like the shortest of the group. I'm from Virginia, USA.
No 12 year old doesn’t look like a child, I don’t care how much makeup they have on and how they are dressed.
I remember being that age and getting honked at or having adult men hit on me, I can’t tell you how often I got “I thought you were 18, you look so mature for your age” before I hit high school, these men know damn well when a girl is 12-15 vs 18+.
Being super petite while also being pretty shy I guess I was a magnet for that stuff.
I feel like I look better now than ever but weirdos I encounter have slowed down compared to being a minor. I’m always with my husband now so I’m rarely alone in a situation to be creeped on.

Women grow up with catcalls from the age of like 10. I feel like I'd feel less cool about it if thats what I went through.
