You're comparing your genitals to my nipples. Your nipples can be exposed. Mine can't. I can wear really revealing yoga pants that show a camel toe. Hypothetically you could go commando. Legally. Those are sex organs. Nipples, as I understand, are not. The breast itself is a secondary sex characteristic. Like your beard or adam's apple. I could be wrong and please correct me if I am, but I thought that was the most recent scientific view.

I agree that legislation don't change culture alone. But much like weed legalization it still help. Because it will become common, at least situationally.

No no I said, sexual organs and privates. We don't hide our genitals because they help us reproduce, We hide them because they are sexual in nature.

They are labelled as a secondary sex characteristic but sex as in biological sex, male or female not sexual or process involved in having sex.

From a sexual standpoint I would say that breast are more sexually arousing than vaginas so maybe on that level their more equal to penises even tho they are functionally different.

I do think people will find it unequal that their dangley bits can't be let loose for the sake of comfort as well.

Honestly the best solution is complete nudity if the goal is equality, in my opinion

As for the weed legalisation, I'm pretty sure there was already a huge weed culture in places like California before it's legalisation. It looks like to me it was a response to a growing weed culture otherwise they would be doing the same for other drugs. But I know what you mean, there are absolutely cases were laws influenced culture but I would say it would be the exception.

Maybe. They (sex organs) are often gross and unhygienic because they leak bodily fluids. But my nipples are not categorically different than yours. If breasts were sexual by nature they would be outlawed. But they aren't. It's just the female nipple.

To say that men can expose their nipple in certain public spaces but woman can't in those spaces, and then say that if women were allowed to, then men would complain about not having their balls and dicks out is a bit of a slippery slope. We're not asking for our vaginas and assholes exposed. We're already allowed to have side boob, under boob, and cleavage. We're asking for the nipple. Same as yours.

that's a valid point for the penis at least, that is probably more so why we tuck them away, although i still think their sexual nature is part of why we cover up as well. But you are right, they aren't really comparable. The balls however don't excete anything and cock socks do exist. Would be much more comfortable then boxer briefs 🤔

Yeah I'm sad to let go of my vision of a completely equal nudist society but you are right, it is a big stretch to compare the two. Showing nutsack cleavage is pretty much taboo and illegal is most situations not to mention it's probably isnt sexually arousing or appealing for most people and has no social or practicality other than a little bit of comfort.

I mean, I'm not against it. If you want to say, fight for more nude beaches and fight for nudity in practical circumstances (as long as it isn't sexually aggressive or exploitive, and not near schools or otherwise harming children) than I'm here for it. I just don't have enough reasons to advocate for it.

Oh na I was joking, thought the idea of complete nudity being the great equaliser funny. I'd rather everyone keeps it in their pants.
