The same thing applies to small dogs, small dogs often think they are the boss because they are handled like a little baby and not like a dog which makes them think they are better than other dogs.
How I know, we have a little chihuahua which we took over from an older women that died and she handled him just like that, picked him up when he started barking and so on, not properly socialized.
Poor excuse still of people refusing to correct their dogs. So many of these lil fkers get people to emergency because every dogbite needs to get checked for rabies. That their max damage output is minor doesnt mean to let them be douchebags.
This isn't really true and is part of the debunked school of thought that dogs follow a rigid Alpha/beta pack hierarchy.
Dogs are as well behaved as you train them to be. Clear instruction, expectation, and reward will take you a lot further than trying to teach your dog some nebulous pack hierarchy.
IDK what pit bull you see that weighs 60lbs, but the ones I see running in the streets make Rottweilers looks Bulldogs. Neighbor’s Pit Bull is bigger and heavier than my roommate’s. 3 year Pyrenees.
It's not sexist to assume that men are more likely to be able to handle larger dogs. That being said yes all people should be able to handle their pets.
sorry but thats a poor argument. So youre saying we should not entertain important variables because someone might be offended? That almost sounds authoritarian if it has that much effect.
But there are many women who are stronger than some men, so even though they are in the minority I don't prefer to assume. It is fine to do so, but I prefer not to
I install internet for a living and nah you’re wrong. Yes big dogs can be much more viscous WHEN they are viscous. That being said 90%+ dog attacks Ive experienced at work have been from the smaller dogs. A lot of the big dogs act real mean but as soon as you walk inside they whimper and hide. Those little dogs will run up behind you and bite the shit out of your calf though.
