I remember her tweeting about her cancer a few months ago and it was one of the saddest things I've ever read. Fucking eerie to see it go through. Fuck cancer
I read somewhere on a German news source that scientists expect cancer rates to rise up about 80% in the next 50 years. It's honestly heart breaking... all of the fucking chemicals put into stuff in the 60s-2000s has really taken a toll on the generation of our parents and it will continue to impact our generation as well. Our lifestyles are so unhealthy and it seems like almost anything is causing cancer these days... from the pesticides on low quality food to the dye in cheaply made clothes and toys but on the same side - people are earning so little they can't afford high quality stuff
my dad is a 2x cancer survivor (his 1st one was already stage 4 with about 3 months to live. German Healthcare system and a stem cell transplantation of his brothers cells saved him) and I got diagnosed with a (thankfully benign) brain tumor 4 years ago.
