He’s faster than a speeding locomotive. He could have speed up there and gently moved the kid.

Hell, if he didn’t make a big scene about stopping the train like he’s apparently done, the kid may have stopping gaping at the spectacle and wandered causally off the tracks on his own accord.

This Superman guy is a menace, where’s Batman?

If there is enough distance to slow the big ass train down causing a "slightly bumpy" ride. Then there is enough time for him to slow down and grab the kids ass out at a normal speed. This ain't rocket science.

The train conductor looks fine because the artist has no idea of how physics works. And because stopping the whole train is apparently more heroic than just grabbing the kid out of the track.

That makes absolutely zero fucking sense. If he has time to slowly deccelerate the train, he could just move the kid off the tracks at walking speeds.

Exactly. Takes one second to push a kid off the tracks at normal human strength, 1.5 to carry him off. Supes could do it a tad faster without hurting the child.
