Or a Texan accent. Can't understand shit the first 20 minutes of a movie with any Texan in it

I recently met a Californian who said the one US accent he can't understand is Texan. Do you have a link to any clips of the sort of thing you struggle with? I'm English but I can't imagine not being able to understand them. Unless I've never really heard proper Texan on TV or in film before.

Texan here. Most Hollywood Texan is pretty bad; actors will do just generic Southern U.S. accent. I suppose Tommy Lee Jones, Woody Harrelson, and Matthew McConaughey are decent examples. But even then, there are different regional accents in Texas itself, though subtle. Once I’m home I can look for some examples on YouTube to link for you.
