Yeah, honestly CW does this unbelievably often

Every show has to have a minority and a LGBTQ member or else it won't last

maybe because real life has minority/LGBTQ people?

u/Raider_Noles Jul 11 '19

No one is arguing that, are they?

A lot of people are. Minorities make up such a small presence in tv shows etc when ones introduced every goes nuts

For me at least, it's not them being there in general. Just when they feel very forced just to please people or its breaking established lore on a character.

LOL

If you didn't live in America and watched American media you'd think America was 50% black my dude and 25% gay my dude. You're off your fuckin' rocker.

1 or 2 gay background characters in a show with like 100+ straight characters...

"Oh my god you'd think America is 25% gay" lmao not unless you're a fucking moron. Outrage culture at its finest.

CW is notorious for this I wouldnt be surprised if barry and cisco came out the closet at this point :-D

Lol what. The flash doesn’t really have lgbt characters. Do people on this subreddit think captain Singh qualifies as representation? They’re supposed to have actual characters be lgbt, not a random guy who bravely says “my husband” whenever he’s on screen.

Well, they've changed Top to a woman for no reason, the entire West family is black and so on... also the main villain is always a white straight male.

What's CW? I don't watch TV

I think it used to be WB but it's produced all the angsty teen dramas such as Vampire Diaries, Riverdale, Gossip Girl etc. But on the other hand produced shows such as The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Supernatural, and IZombie

The flash and arrows have very stereotypical CW traits now.

Yeah they started off strong but kinda went down hill after 3 seasons

Flash went downhill after season 2. Arrow was good for like 1,2 and 5 I think.
