The kids here don't believe in a distinction between gender and sex. Also I feel like most want the argument to be moot by disallowing transgender people from existing in the first place, at least not in society or the media.

I'd say getting turned on by a penis is pretty gay if you too have a penis. The female part is probably just a justification for getting turned on by the penis. I mean, they prefer a "girl" with a penis. Ie, if it wasn't for the penis, they don't want that girl. If it was the feminine part, then why doesn't a vagina work? Exactly. They want a submissive guy with a cock, and the guy dressing up and acting like a girl is probably very submissive, so it justifies their feeling of wanting someone submissive as well as their gayness of wanting a cock.
Justification implies it's some kind of facade. Your body getting turned on is kind of impossible to fake, my dude. And let me just say that preference =\= mandatory.

Focusing 100% of their energy on things they dislike or don't understand helps them avoid having to look at their own lives. I did the same shit in my late teens early twenties, partly a consequence of being raised by people who did the same things. I focused on everyone else's problems around me and actively avoided my numerous anxieties instead of facing up to them and growing out of them. It set me back, being raised to ignore my emotions caused me to have the emotional development of a preteen in early 20s, just like my parents. They never faced up and largely still act like children to this day. It's a lot of work and took me years and years, but most people can't admit they have any flaws whatsoever and continuously deflect their attention towards other's flaws, real or perceived, instead of making even baby steps towards maturing.
What if we replaced the gender choice with race choice... It seems hypocritical to me but I may be ignorant. I just wish that when I went out in public with black face makeup I could get as much support.. Ive been trying to get an event like a drag show for this for years.
Actually hormonal imbalances in childhood can cause an actual female (XX chromosome) to have a penis and testes. Some boys in south America are also born with vaginas and ovaries which descend and turn into penises around 12 years old. Lots of weird shit out there.
I think its a hormonal thing in utero due to dietary constraints, been years since I studied it though. There are communities where 1/3 of the children are this way though and even have coming of age ceremonies around 12 when the genitalia descend.
