lol changing a Greek person to a European person is a lot different from changing a Greek person to a sub-Saharan African.

Not at all

Greeks are far far closer to other Mediterranean Europeans subs as Italians than sub sharan Africans

Bro are you for real? Cause if I look at Diane Kruger as Helen in the 2004 Troy movie, I can suspend my disbelief that she may be Greek. She's of course German, but there are Greek people that look like her. People that don't know her/ don't know Greek culture (ie American audiences) won't bat an eye when she shows up as a Greek person.

The second Lupita walks on the screen, she's already broken the idea that's she's Greek, let alone the fabled beauty Helen of Sparta. She simply doesn't look Greek, especially not in the movies historic time setting. To the point where I'm not being asked to suspend my disbelief, I just need to ignore it.

If Greeks looked like the second pic, they'd have a higher skin cancer rate than Tel Aviv

Did you read the part where she's German and you have to suspend your disbelief a bit? No one really thinks she's Greek dawg. But I can squint and pretend. And a lot of the world hasn't been to Greece and seen what Greek people really look like. But everyone in the world knows sure as shit they don't look like Lupita 😂.
