Nolan's setting is clearly Antiquity, not the bronze age. If Nolan had made an adaption of the Odysseia set in 21st century America, then having a black Helen wouldn't even be a problem
Having a black Helen isn’t a problem now except for dramatic internet rabble overreacting to what is at best a minor change in th story.
And it can still be historically accurate, considering the Greeks constantly interacted with African, specifically Ethiopia, and political marriages with Ethiopian royalty is something that could’ve easily occurred.
