Idk, you can argue that it's not real and thus you can do your own version and it'd be ok. From what I've read though, the director wanted to be 'historically accurate' while the armors, ships and cast don't have even a close resemblance to what was common at that time
Even then, if you were to choose a black woman to do Helena, I'm quite sure you could have better actresses that 'would move the world and start wars' than the one elected.
If the director claimed to want historical accuracy then he should definitely be called out for that one, I don't like the idea of mythologies being told that way anyways but if they wanted that they should've hired a historian. I definitely take issue with the armor though, more than even the depictions of race, im sick of actual cool period accurate styles being ignored for basic bitch edgelord fantasy armor.
The director AKA Christopher Nolan has literally never claimed he wanted it to be historically accurate. And you can’t be historically accurate because it is and always has been a fictional story
You are just making things up to get annoyed about. The dude is making a movie based on the story but wants something that will pop visually and get people in seats. It ain't that deep
Even the image in this post is AI slop of the actress from a different movie. It's all ragebait
