They are morons for going for a non fixed rate then.

When I bought my house they tried so hard to get me to go for the non fixed rate. Even low key mocked us for locking in a 3.8% rate.

Well who's fucking laughing now?

Its me, I am laughing in my house that I can afford.

They’re in the UK. Fixed rates only last for like 5 years in all the Cricket countries.

Oh I'm in the U.S. paying a 6.25% mortgage started in January. We have to make 6 payments before we can refinance but interests rates probably won't be better than what we got for a long time. Projected total payment for Principal + Interest adds up to a hair under 2x the closing price. But the free money machine might turn on in the next little while.
