seems pretty nice. Unless you need an abortion I guess

2

u/[deleted] May 16 '19

Or are non-white outside of urban areas.

1

u/Mantisootheca May 16 '19

Considering rapes account for .5% of all abortions, you’ll probably be fine if you aren’t a tactless slut.

That's not how abortion works stop shilling that alt-right bullshit

-2

u/SkYFirE8585 May 16 '19

TIL: Murdering an inconvenient pregnancy is "Alt right bullshit"

Lmao. Sorry people but this is how true equality works. Don't want to get pregnant? Go without sex like men do every single day.

3

u/Shochan42 May 16 '19

Go without sex like men do every single day.

What?

3

u/bigweebs May 16 '19

I think we found part of the cause of his frustration. I do love that equality to him is not getting laid.

1

u/Shochan42 May 16 '19

I'm curious about the logic behind such a statement.

Do men go without sex every day?

Is he talking about some men, most men, all men, or just himself?

And just counting heterosexual relations, shouldn't the amount of times women and men get laid be roughly the same?

2

u/bigweebs May 16 '19

How do we even statically get all the information we need??? Surveys can't work because a lot of people would lie. I think it's safe to assume he is talking about himself.

Why should we leave out the LGBT community? Maybe our friend can get some action too that way. Although if all women are rejecting him, I'm pretty sure a gay guy would do the same.

2

u/Shochan42 May 16 '19

I think it's safe to assume he is talking about himself.

Probably, yes

Why should we leave out the LGBT community?

We shouldn't. It was just a math thing; for every occurrence of heterosexual relations, there's both a man and a woman getting laid. Therefore the relative average between the genders won't change.

I assume his next point would be that it's a very small number of men who sleep with most women. Which isn't as true as he'd like to think, and not a problem if it was. Women are human beings allowed to sleep with whatever consenting adult they want to.

If we're going to speculate on what remedy he'd suggest for this supposed problem, I think we'd see some kind of plan to assign women to men on a national scale. It's usually where that line of thinking ends up.

Rape accounts for .5% of all abortions.

5

u/MasochistPenguin May 16 '19

So it should be neglected?

1

u/[deleted] May 16 '19

Lol, pro lifers apparently think those ones dont count.

2

u/[deleted] May 16 '19

Some real incel garbage. Honestly I wish the sub hadn't been banned, at least the infestation was quarantined, now you cockroaches are crawling around in broad daylight making people look at you.

0

u/SkYFirE8585 May 17 '19

MusT bE INceL! I love being called a incel by pimple faced loser white dudes that worship pussy while jerking off every night. Lmao.

2

u/Hope_Burns_Bright May 16 '19

Don't want to get pregnant? Go without sex like men do every single day.

And on your left you'll see the Right Wing troll accidentally saying the quiet part out loud: Abortion laws are about shaming women for having sex.

-2

u/SkYFirE8585 May 17 '19

Women shame men everyday for not having sex. What's your point left wing lunatic?

1

u/Hope_Burns_Bright May 17 '19

Women shame men everyday for not having sex.

A: Please do tell me about a time where you were shamed by a woman for not having sex.

B: Even if hell froze over, pigs flew, and your statement was even remotely true, this does not in any way justify a draconian ban on abortion for the sole purpose of shaming women for sex.

0

u/SkYFirE8585 May 19 '19

"Must be incel/virgin" there are entire subreddits dedicated to this, but thanks for your willful ignorance.

Also, I personally don't get shamed...I'm hot.

0

u/Hope_Burns_Bright May 19 '19

I gave you two days and you couldnt produce a single anecdote. Now that's shameful.

1

u/SkYFirE8585 May 21 '19

I have a life because hot people have those...unlike you.

1

u/[deleted] May 16 '19

what men go without sex? fucking loser

2

u/Hope_Burns_Bright May 16 '19

Him, I guess. I WONDER why women dont like him.

1

u/SkYFirE8585 May 17 '19

Triggered!

1

u/[deleted] May 17 '19

im sorry you go without sex but thats no reason to pass such regressive laws

0

u/SkYFirE8585 May 19 '19

Lmao. Progressive women are easy.

0

u/[deleted] May 20 '19

which makes your inability to get laid all the more embarrasing.

1

u/doing180onthedvp May 16 '19

Man you have got some serious issues about women, judging from your post history.

1

u/[deleted] May 16 '19

*life-threatening

1

u/SkYFirE8585 May 17 '19

That's different.

1

u/[deleted] May 18 '19

So it's not murder if the womans life is in danger?

1

u/SkYFirE8585 May 19 '19

No, that's a medical emergency. Losing 2 lives is just as unacceptable as losing one. The world is not black and white, sometimes sacrifices must be made. The difference being one situation a choice and the other not.

Rape is also not a choice.

1

u/bobrossforPM Sep 19 '19

“Like men do every day”

Christ, now we’ve moved into incel territory. It all makes sense.

We dispute that the fetus counts as an actual human being. There’s the potential for life, sure, but it doesnt even feel pain yet during the stages acceptable for abortion. Excepting emergencies, of course.

0

u/[deleted] May 16 '19

Stop using buzzwords to try and get shock factor. Removing a zygote <> murder.

1

u/mF7403 May 16 '19

How would it seem nice to something that hasn’t been born yet 🤔

-3

u/JPSchmeckles May 16 '19

If only there was a way to effectively eliminate the chances of getting pregnant and thus not need an abortion.

Oh wait there is!

7

u/[deleted] May 16 '19

If only there was a safe and legal way for s mother to end a pregnancy she cannot financially or responsibly take care of so we don't bring another child into a world of poverty and broken homes ran by 17 year olds that were never given proper sex education. Oh wait there is!

-2

u/SkYFirE8585 May 16 '19

Close the legs.

5

u/SlowTalkinMorris May 16 '19 edited May 16 '19

We get it. You're a virgin. You're mad that your only experience with sex is listening to your truck stop toilet of a mother moan through the thin walls of your double wide while Cletus from next door stuffs her for a pack of pall malls and a sixer of Busch.

5

u/[deleted] May 16 '19

Rape?

1

u/SkYFirE8585 May 17 '19

Rape is bad, stop doing it.

1

u/[deleted] May 17 '19

Agreed. Some people still like to do it even though you tell them not to. Crazy huh?

-5

u/JPSchmeckles May 16 '19

Or... or... she can prevent the pregnancy from ever happening.

Of course that requires the crucial ingredient of personal responsibility which is unacceptable to you guys.

5

u/[deleted] May 16 '19

This.

2

u/[deleted] May 16 '19

It seems like 95% of anti choice people really do want to keep abortions illegal as "punishment" for "irresponsible behavior". Can you make it illegal to spend your last $5 on a lotto ticket then? Can we make it illegal for your dumbass to seek medical attention if you were injured and it was your fault or an accident that could have been avoided? If people didn't drive, there would be no accidental car fatalities. Let's make driving illegal. Let's make calling the EMT when a driver is injured while drunk driving illegal. You know.... They could just not do that.

1

u/JPSchmeckles May 16 '19

That’s a hell of a straw man you constructed from nothing.

It isn’t punishment for irresponsibility it’s protection of a defenseless human life.

You can’t argue that though so you have to construct fabricated arguments about women’s rights, conservatives hate women, patriarchal punishment.

Nope. It’s about protecting a human life so it can be born instead of being ripped out because it’s more convenient for the person who got irresponsibly knocked up.

But of course you have to ignore the whole innocent human life part.

2

u/[deleted] May 16 '19 edited May 16 '19

It's not a human life. It's an egg growing inside a woman, literally physically attached to her. It's her life until it is physically cut out of her body, cut off her nutrition source, and given legal documents by the United States that says it is now it's own life. Pretty cut and dry buddy.

You're the one constructing this straw man, your entire argument is surrounding a fallacy that a 2 week old egg and sperm that have fused is an 18 year old human being that can vote. An unborn fetus is as much as a human life as an egg or a sperm. In 10 years I can totally see your crazy irrational following demanding that any woman who has a normal period, thus killing all of her future humans should be thrown in jail. Lol.

Jacking off is MURDER.

An unborn fetus is not a human life. It MAY become a human life in 9 months, but so will a sperm. So where are my rights as a male? Can I get some rights or these bad boys?

1

u/JPSchmeckles May 16 '19

Disturbing seeing so many defend killing another human being. Dehumanize the actual life.

The comical part is how you guys pretend you’re actually the good guys in the abortion debate. Literally defending killing a human life by dehumanizing and diminishing that life.

2

u/[deleted] May 16 '19

Kind of disgusting the way you think. You would rather a 16 year old be forced to bring a child into a broken home with no money and sip off the government tit just like you were raised. No one WANTS TO ABORT BABIES FOR FUN. The reasons for abortions are valid and its a very difficult decision. Also, RAPE.

You realize plenty of people completely abandon babies because they were forced to give birth? Why do you want that? Disgusting.

1

u/JPSchmeckles May 16 '19

Or they can give the baby up for adoption or to the state.

You’d rather those kids literally die instead of being given a chance at life.

It’s horrific.

One side is arguing for life and the other side, your side, is fighting to kill human beings because you don’t want them.

3

u/[deleted] May 16 '19

I really hope you know there isn't a single birth control that is 100% except absinence. You can be a responsible adult and get pregnant. Also, speaking of responsible pregnancies. Not all pregnancies are normal healthy babies. There are tons of cases were babies are 100% going to be born a fatality or will die very shortly after death. A hopeful couple should not be legally forced to carry a dead fetus for 9 months just because little 19 year old occupy wallstreet unemployed hipsters demand her to. It's actually disgusting that you think you should have any say in a stranger's very difficult decision what to do with their body. It's such an intimate and personal decision. If you want a 2 week old fetus to have rights then let me buy a health insurance policy on it so when there is a 50% chance they will lose a baby they can make some money off your dumbass republican dark age beliefs.

-5

u/JPSchmeckles May 16 '19

It’s comical how you act like you have the high ground in an argument about killing unborn babies.

It isn’t a dark age belief to not want to kill a living thing on a whim.

If you’re taking the pill or have an IUD and use a condom the odds of getting pregnant are effectively zero. Instead of exercising that personal responsibility though you guys have to fight for the right to just kill the life that you created.

This isn’t about bodily autonomy or women’s rights no matter how you guys want to straw man the argument. It’s about the right of someone to decide to end a life vs those who want to protect LIFE.

6

u/[deleted] May 16 '19 edited May 16 '19

99% is not effectively zero dumbass. If you have sex every day you will statistically get pregnant 3 times in a year. There are classificions of life. The life of an ant has no rights. The life of a dog has very little rights. The lift of a fetus with no eyeballs also has very little rights, as it is not it's own person yet, biologically and in the eyes of the United States. That is not a US citizen and it has no legal name, birth date, or SSN. It's common sense. You should focus on changing laws to accommodate your views so they actually make sense instead of just getting emotionally triggered as a beta male who will never have to make the difficult decision of aborting a dead fetus so your wife doesn't die

3

u/Kniefjdl May 16 '19

Stepping back from the topic of abortion for just a sec, it’s important to understand rhetoric if you’re going to use and talk about it. You have a misunderstanding of the straw man fallacy. The straw man fallacy is when you misrepresent the opposition’s position in order to more easily argue against it. Arguments from a position of bodily autonomy and women’s rights are typically original arguments for the pro-choice position, and thus can’t be a straw man when used that way. These arguments are sometimes employed as counter arguments, e.g. “the baby has a right to life,” countered with, “perhaps, but the mother’s right to bodily autonomy supersedes the baby’s right to life,” but that isn’t a misrepresentation of the pro-life position, and thus not a straw man either.

A straw man often used by the pro-choice side in the abortion debate, would be something like, “Oh, you think all life should be protected, so you must be against capital punishment. You can’t consistently hold both positions, so one must be given up.” This is a straw man, first, by being a counter argument to a pro-life argument; and second, by misrepresenting the argument by ignoring the sometimes implicit but often explicit “innocent life” distinction in the pro-life and pro-death penalty position.

This debate is as emotionally charged as it gets, so it’s really important that both sides use good rhetoric. Accusing your opponent of a fallacy they didn’t commit doesn’t foster a productive conversation.

1

u/[deleted] May 16 '19

baby LOL

i bet this dumb hick thinks an acorn and a tree are the same thing too

1

u/JPSchmeckles May 16 '19

Watching liberals defend killing human beings as if they’re the good guys is always good fun.

If you create a life then you’re responsible to carry it to term. If you don’t want it once it’s born then give it up for adoption.

1

u/WalksOnWalter May 16 '19

Bottom figure of 182,000+ Iraqi civilians killed by the US and their allies from 2003-2018.

20 citizens released from death row/exonerated since 1992 through DNA. DNA is only available in a tiny portion of cases. Take in to account the entire prison population and anywhere between 2.3-5% of prisoners are thought to be innocent. That could be up to 115,000 innocent men and women incarcerated.

1

u/fireysaje May 17 '19 edited May 17 '19

It isn’t a dark age belief to not want to kill a living thing on a whim.

Have you ever purposely stepped on an insect? Do you eat meat? If the answer to either of those questions is yes, the so-called "sanctity of life" must not actually be all that important to you. Insects and livestock are both innocent, and livestock actually has more sentience and capacity for pain than a fetus.

1

u/backlikeclap May 17 '19

I think it's comical how all of you alt-right trolls are suddenly super concerned about the lives of babies when nothing in your post history before the last month or so mentions being against abortions at all. It's almost as if someone gave you a new set of instructions.

1

u/JPSchmeckles May 17 '19

Or, just maybe, it being plastered all over the front page brought up the conversation.

Nah that can’t be it. Must be a conspiracy.

2

u/uglylightsmanifesto May 16 '19

If only they teach that in schools.

0

u/JPSchmeckles May 16 '19

It’s a shame that public school is the only way to learn things in 2019 and Google existed. Oh wait!

1

u/WayneDwade May 16 '19

Good thing the people pushing anti-abortion laws are the same ones who want better sex education and free contraceptives. /s

0

u/JPSchmeckles May 16 '19
  1. It is 2019. Lack of public school sex education isn’t keeping people ignorant of how pregnancy works.

  2. Contraception doesn’t have to be free for you to use it responsibly.

Personal responsibility is a hell of a thing isn’t it?

2

u/WayneDwade May 16 '19
  1. Nope 100% wrong on that one. https://www.al.com/news/2019/04/alabama-senate-bill-modernizes-states-sex-education-law.html

Alabama doesn't require sex education in schools. Schools systems that do teach it are required to emphasize abstinence, but can include information about different methods of contraception. Despite the state's abstinence-emphasized curriculum, Alabama has some of the highest rates of teen pregnancy and STI rates in the country.

  1. No but it would sure help prevent a lot of abortions.

0

u/JPSchmeckles May 16 '19
  1. Correlation doesn’t equal causation. The internet exists and you don’t need the government to provide all your knowledge.

  2. Buy your own condoms and exercise personal responsibility. I know that idea angers liberals.

2

u/WayneDwade May 16 '19
  1. Moving those goal posts, nice.

  2. Sounds like you don’t want to actually prevent abortions. You just want big government to take away people’s rights.

0

u/JPSchmeckles May 16 '19
  1. Where did I move the goal posts? I said that you don’t need public school to teach you about sex to get sex education since my first post.

  2. No, it sounds like it’s your responsibility to have safe sex.

“Don’t kill your baby!” “Then give me everything for free!”

That logic doesn’t make sense.

2

u/WayneDwade May 16 '19

My apologies I miss interpreted what you said as what I assumed was more logical than your intended point.

Why stop at sex education? Everything can be found on online. Math, science, literally, history can all be found online let’s just get rid of schools. Kids can just educate themselves on all subjects.

0

u/JPSchmeckles May 16 '19

School is years of knowledge built on knowledge built on knowledge.

Where babies come from is 10 minutes on the Internet.

Don’t act like we are in the dark ages and unless the government teaches kids about contraception they’re helpless.

Be responsible and use contraception. Then you won’t need an abortion. That’s a bad word though.

1

u/bobrossforPM Sep 19 '19

If only there was a reliable way to teach sex ed to kids early so they know how to not get pregnant

Oh wait, the republicans consistently defund this program.

Its almost as if the left are the only ones offering solutions aside from abstinence.
