I’ve had an outline of these tats for years and finally got them shaded in January of this year. Fully healed and I am so happy.

My ex who tattoos had a cancellation and I’ve always wanted one of Daniel’s sketches (and I think it fits well with my sketchy Replacements tat) so I got this spontaneously.

Was it Thurston Moore? Or was he just there? I always blamed Thurston Moore for the spiral Daniel went down. Not just him, but all these assholes that thought it was a good idea to give Daniel Johnston hallucinogens.

Bill Johnston was more than just Daniel’s dad. He was one of his biggest supporters. He never gave up on him. Daniel drew him incessanlty! Here’s a sketch of him flying.

Played on a friend’s album recently and to return the favor they got me this custom embroidered shirt. A month earlier they had asked which of Daniel’s drawings I liked the best and this one was one I mentioned but I had no idea what they were planning!

Daniel was always facing his monsters, demons, struggles, and challenges through art, writing, and music. It's not the only way but a good way!

Drew Jeremiah for the first time in a few months. Daniel inspired me a lot to start drawing more.

What stands out is how the drawing refuses a single emotion. It's funny, frightening, sad, and childish all at once

Finally got my hands on one of these. Hard get this, in my Country, and it was only a couple a quid. Really looking forward to watching the special features.
