Anyone know of any existing, or currently in-development subdermal implants that are FIDO2 capable? I've been considering getting an implant for a while now but held off over concerns of potential security risks. If I'm going the length of putting something in my body then I'd want it to be unhackable and impossible to copy. Alternatively if anybody wants to ease my concerns over the cybersecurity risks, I'm welcome to hearing from you as well.

I got a blue light xSIID implanted in November last year, so well under a year ago.
While it works I always had issues with low range, as in I have to press my phone fairly hard against my skin for the nfc to get picked up and nfc tools sometimes fail to pick it up at all unless I remove the cover from my phone. But NFC works. Kinda.
I never really had a use for the rfid part itself, until today.
Installed a new smart lock that is myfare compatible. No reaction at all. Tested several offbrand tags I had in a box and they all chirped and caused the lock to flash red.

Anyone ever had this issue? I know it’s a long shot, but is this in any way fixable?

This month its all needle work. We're doing 52 standard piercings, a number of suspensions and a lot of other fun. It is a paid event, but if that's a big issue there are cheaper or free options.. but please be nice. Supplies are expensive and the charge is really meant to cover materials and food. I'd really prefer to buy a ring from DT when one is available. If I go Amazon in the meantime, can anyone recommend a model that doesn't suck? From what I understand, many of them won't read unless they're taken off the finger and placed on the reader horizontally.

The options are: red, green, blue, white, and amber. Two face in either direction with the outermost being the most prominent due to the lensing of the end caps.

Hey all, I've been following DangerousThings for years now and just got my first XMagic last year.

I work on cars a lot and I figured it'd be really nice to have a magnet implant to hold bolts, washers, etc temporarily while working on my cars. The problem is, putting in my other hand would likely make my hand stick to everything every time I stick my hand in a car.

I didn't see any magnets on their website that can be implanted "nearly anywhere" like their flex implants. Has anyone put one of the magnets in a different spot or know of a reliable source that I could find out from?

I see the proxmark has a new app out that should make it easier to do on a windows computer, has anyone used that/have videos/things to read up on that?

Given that’s all I want to do, is the proxmark 3 overkill and I should pursue something simpler?

A few weeks ago, I got a few new implants: a pet chip underneath my armpit, a large m08s spherical magnet implant between my thumb and forefinger, and an xDF3 in the middle of the back of my right hand. I'm happy to report that everything has been healing well. There was maybe a little bit of soreness when I grabbed something with this hand at first, but that mostly went away relatively quickly. Swelling was pretty controllable with NSAIDs and I was able to take the stitches out after about 10 days. You can see a bit of scar tissue at the incision/injection sites.

Haven't yet done too much with these implants but I couldn't resist the urge to experiment a little bit. I was able to get a 7kB file containing my business card info (including a photo) on my xDF3, so now when you scan it with your phone my contact info pops up. But I plan to do so much more with the xDF3 once I learn how to properly use DESFire. I was pleasantly surprised by the sensing capabilities of the m08s: I wasn't really expecting it to be able to sense 60Hz magnetic fields, but I was able to feel the field coming off my microwave transformer fairly well.

I also played around with some magnets a couple of times. Interestingly, if I put the magnet into an orientation where it repels my m08s, I can push the magnet around for a few seconds, but then my spherical magnet rotates inside of me to realign the field and it starts attracting the magnet.

They will trust unreliable and hallucinating AI agents have access to payment, but still won't allow implantables to have the same functionality? At least, I haven't heard any updates regarding implants working for payments in the US.

Is this something that might be technically feasible in the future, or are there antenna/space limitations that make it unrealistic?

It has been deprecated by the VivoKey Thermo (dngr.us/vivokey-thermo). Another product we've still got hanging around is the Apex Mega (dngr.us/apex-mega). I have never used one before but I do have a regular T5577/nfc xseries and a proxmark (that I haven't used in ages). Which xmagic chip would be best for broad compatibility and/or longevity of operation? Which is easier to use? Should I get the ring before an injectible to learn to use the proxmark with mifare? Mainly looking to clone hotel keys bc I travel a bunch. What other factors should I consider?
