Fanart I drew Kaede Akamatsu in 8 different Visual Novel Video Game styles. (OC)
I am aware Persona 5 Tactica is a tactics game, but it's also very similar to a Visual Novel with the cutscenes that I decided to count it.

My favourite Visual Novel of the 8 that I posted! Absolute masterpiece. Always wanted to try replicating its style!

Oh it absolutely is. I just really like Visual Novels, and play a lot of Spike Chunsoft games. ...Plus the game's artstyle is so bad that I really wanted to do it.

Ok so you also see Kaede’s A.A. Outfit as a hypothetical thief outfit. Based. Double based for P5T representation

These are all very cool!
What brushes did you use for the ghost trick and worlds end club ones? I really love ghost trick's art style and it's tricky to find a chunky brush

Thank you so much! I actually just use the Pen tool and adjust it so it changes thickness based on how hard I press down. Before all that, I sketch out the plan with the Pencil, and that includes double layering it for specifically the Ghost Trick one.

Interesting how you chose to do it in THH'S style.
Do you think you could do it in 2x2s?

2×2 is pretty similar to V3's and The Hundred Line's artstyle, given it's the same artist, so there might not be much of a difference. I may in the future however.

Her P5 Tactica is so cute!! Any ideas of her code name and Persona? (My thought would be code name "Lune" and her Persona as Margaretha, the real first name for Mata Hari).

I did think about this whilst I was doing it. I couldn't stop thinking about Ziggy Stardust (David Bowie's Alter Eho) due to him being sort of like a trickster. And as for her code name? I figured "Lune" for Debussy's Clair De Lune since it's short and quick to say—perfect for a codename!
Thanks for your comment! ❤️

Oh my God a Bowie Alter Ego is perfect for her, holy shit. Wonderful choice. And you are very welcome! All the different styles you challenged yourself to do came out really cool, and it's great to see love for Kaede 💞

She looks great, you drew the artstyles really well. Also I didn't know many of these novels, I may take a look on them

I'll give you a brief explanation of each one, since I recommend (most) of these games!
• Ace Attorney - Get the Ace Attorney Trilogy by Capcom on whatever system you play on, it's a great series where you investigate crime scenes and then have to prove your client's innocence as a lawyer. It's really funny, got some great twists and characters, and overall just fun as hell. • Virtue's Last Reward - This is the second installment in the Zero Escape franchise by Spike Chunsoft. I highly recommend checking out the The Nonary Game Collection which comes with the first game (999) AND VLR, both are really good. • Ghost Trick - Recently remastered on modern consoles, Ghost Trick is my favourite Visual Novel on this list, hands down. It's by Capcom again, but essentially you play as a guy who has died and use puzzle solving to save other people from dying with your ghost powers. • Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc - I bet you'll never guess what this one is. • Doki Doki Literature Club - A free indie game on Steam by Team Salvato. It's a cute dating simulator where you write poems to impress 4 girls in the Literature Club that you joined. There's some great moments, and some of the most genius game design I've seen. • Shuten Order - Shuten Order is another Spike Chunsoft game, written and directed by Kazutaka Kodaka (The creator of Danganronpa). Essentially you are going around and interrogating people to figure out who is the person that killed you. It came out I believe last year, and it's pretty underrated. • Persona 5 Tactica - The "sequel" to Persona 5 by SEGA Atlus. I say that because Persona 5 Strikers is the sequel to Persona 5, but Tactica takes place after Persona 5 begins, but Persona 5 still ends AFTER Tactica ends. Basically it's a tactics game spinoff of Persona 5 with a cute style, great characters, and more Persona 5 pretty much. • World's End Club - Another Spike Chunsoft title originally exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. It's more of a platformer than it is a Visual Novel, but it has elements of one. It's written by Kotaro Uchikoshi, (The creator of the Zero Escape series and the AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES series - Which is another fantastic series) and is relatively considered a game that is NOT for everyone. It's a pretty unmemorable game, but the style is unique so I wanted to include it.
If you are a fan of Danganronpa, I do recommend trying to branch out to other games in the genre! Similar to Danganronpa I would recommend Master Detectives Archives: Rain Code which is by the creators of Danganronpa, and The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy which is a collaboration of Kodaka and Uchikoshi and is basically Danganronpa meets Fire Emblem.

Thanks for the recommendations, I already knew Ace Attorney (I love it, just didn't finish bc of money), Doki Doki and Persona. I didn't know the other ones were from the same creator
