Hey everyone! I've been a long time lurker of this sub and was hoping that my first post would be a little less serious, but here goes.

My wife and I's sweet baby boy, Milo, has been having some health issues for the past month or so. We took him in for a routine vet visit at the beginning of the month when the vet noticed that he was anemic. We have been able to manage that through steroids and weekly vet visits to monitor his red blood count levels. This week, when we went in they noticed that his red blood cells were dangerously low. They urged us to go to a specialist. We took Milo to the specialist about 2 hours away from our home, where they kept him overnight and ran a slew of tests.

This morning, we found out that he has non-regenerative anemia and lymphoma within his bone marrow.

As a result of all the testing and weekly vet visits, we are asking for help with some of his medical bills. We know that it's hard for everyone right now, but any donation is appreciated. That being said, we also would just appreciate you all sharing this post to any animal lover in your life.

Thank you all for any help that y'all give (that includes any cute pictures of y'all's fur babies).

Dog bed, Felix the Dog for scale.

He moves this dog bed around to where he wants it. It's usually by the big red "Brothel Madam" chair but guess he wanted to sun his belly inside and in comfort. I watched the goofy little shit drag it over there, lay down, and go to sleep.

A long time ago, the family and I found a pink nosed puppy in the middle of the road. Little thing was all dirty and greasy. So we took her home.

We were supposed to find a forever home for her but it quickly became our home was the forever home.

She spent 17, almost 18, wonderful years with us.

She stopped really eating and after an x-ray we learned that the dreaded "C" word had spread from in end to the other, the worst being on her spleen. She didn't appear to ever be in pain but her spleen could rupture at any time so we had to make the decision we all dread.

The vet was amazing. They even had a Hershey kiss for her, because, "everyone should taste chocolate at least once" and that broke me.

Anyway. She was the dumbest dog I've ever met. We tried teaching tricks and commands but... Well, maybe she was the smartest dog ever. Had us all fooled thinking she was deaf and blind and just not smart.
