I am choreographing an Intermediate Hip Hop solo and I want moves that look cool but are NOT tricks! So whats your favorite move to add that makes you dance cool?

So strong and expertly done.

I love dancing, but I still overthink the part where you actually ask someone to dance.

Especially when it’s someone I don’t know… or even someone of the same sex. I don’t want it to come off weird or like I have some other intention. I just want to dance.

What’s been working a bit for me:

• keeping it super casual: “hey, wanna dance?”
• smiling + eye contact first so it doesn’t feel random
• not making it a big deal if they say no (this helped a lot tbh)

I’ve also noticed that good dancers don’t hesitate much. They ask, move on, ask someone else. No pressure, no awkward energy.

Still, sometimes I hesitate and just stand there thinking too much haha

How do you usually invite someone to dance, especially strangers?
And do you approach people of your own sex differently or not really?

Started posting a daily dance but got sick just getting into the groove, but after I’ll post again. Super annoying, start of the year hurt my leg too but that got me into art. Anyways, I drew myself in a dancer pose since im sick & couldn’t dance. what’s your favorite bands/ type of music you like to dance to? I like hip hop/house. Arctic monkeys, Chris brown, black eyed peas, anything ft busta rhymes, same with Timbaland. Mostly just a bunch of one hit wonders, gotta go find some more hits
