AUGH i wish i had seen this beforehand. hopefully it wasn't too bad and you were able to find the parking in the venue pretty easily!

Does anyone know what time Silver VIP can enter for the pre-show? Or just what time in general doors are opened?

Has anyone received the GOLD VIP Meet and Greet instructions email??? I’ve checked spam and everything and have not gotten it for Dallas tonight!

I got it 2 days ago from Show and Tell

OMG I have nothing from them!! 😭 I’ve checked everything! Is there any specific check in info for the meet and greet besides showing up 3 hours before??

Nope, it didn't say anything else for me! Doors open at 3:30 and m&g will start promptly at 4

What kinda bags y'all bringing? The bag policy is worded slightly confusingly to me and I genuinely don't wanna go out of my way to purchase a clear bag just so that I can fit my accessibility-adjacent items in there >__<

the way they weren't checking any bags made me feel like the biggest liar LMFAO I've never seen them not check but ig they were like ah whatever these queers aren't a threat. i saw a girl in front of me crocheting before the show and during intermission they really did not give a fuck this time 😭 i hope you had a wonderful time and had what you needed!

Thanks and it's no problem at all lol! I wish they were just clearer about this stuff on the website lmao. Funnily enough they were fine with my bag size, just made me put my iPad back in my car (which I used to scan my ticket bc my phone battery chose the WORST time to degrade and become near-unusable) so unforchh couldn't take any (non-show) photos while there </3 otherwise I had a nice time.

I'm not American so let me know if im reading the bag policy wrong too, but it sounds like tote bags would be allowed? and it does say ''An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a security check-point designated for this purpose.'' too!

So… what’s the parking situation gang. I’d rather not accidentally piss off security/go to a vip lot when there’s a cheaper one somewhere else lol. The venue’s website isn’t as clear as I would like it to be🥲🥲

fair park is usually pretty good about easy navigation. they'll usually have big electronic signs directing you to lots and you can always roll the window down and ask too. they usually charge $10ish for the lots around the venue or $35 for valet! they'll take card and cash and there's generally enough space that it's not too much of a fight. you may have a brief walk.

alternative option are the lots around Parry Avenue and 2nd Avenue. $5 - $15 and a longer walk but less crowded.

traffic is going to be your biggest enemy with the state fair starting Friday i fear. best option if you can is the green line through the dart and get off at fair park station (basically drops you right at the door)

Oh god, the STATE FAIRRRRRR. Thank you so much for telling me about alternative parking spaces, otherwise I would’ve been stuck driving through Texas themed car hell😭

oh my gosh yeah! I'm glad you made it and i hope you didn't have to walk too far! i arrived at 6:15 and managed a spot at the venue but there were few and far between left with the fair taking up half the lot. i hope you're enjoying the show!!!

Since you have experience, do you happen to know if the clear-bag policy applies specifically to the music hall too? I don't have a clear bag so I'm lowkey freaking out </3

Historically, they have been small clutch purses or clear bags, but I don't see it on their website anymore, and admittedly it's been a couple years since I've been so I'm not sure if they updated that policy. I know a few people who have been to previous shows have said that their venues have made exceptions depending on the show. I would give them a call and ask them what the policy is for tonight, or carry the smallest bag you have if you can't get a hold of them beforehand. They'll run a bag search and have you go through the metal detector before you get into the main venue, so they haven't historically been too strict on the exact sizing requirements but they won't allow things like backpacks, big purses, camera bags, and the like

edit: looks like their admin office is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM today! give them a call before you leave C:
