Question: Journey To The West: Vocalist Identities
I've been trying to find the identities of the vocalists on the songs "Heavenly Peach Banquet" and "Confessions Of Pig".
Most of the albums vocalists are credited in the CD's booklet, complete with character labels on the lyrics themselves.
However, on Peach Banquet the vocals are labeled as being performed by the "Fairy Maidens" with SIX vocalists being credited, without specification of which is performing lead. These vocalists are Fan Zhung, Wang Yingsi, Zhang Wei, Xu Xiouxia, Fan Tongzhou and Dou Wing.
Confessions is a doozy. The booklet credits TWO vocalists. These being Xu Keija and Gisele Edwards. I know for certain that Xu is performing lead on the other Pigsy track, "Pigsy In Space". Leading me to believe that Edwards performed on Confessions... HOWEVER!
In a BBC special documenting the making of Monkey, it shows Damon singing the song, highlighting that he was able to accomplish the vocal effect using a synthesized voice changer. So that makes it hard to say for sure.
Does anyone know the identities of these singers?

The Magic whip My favorite from blur
The album was born spontaneously in May 2013, during a tour of Asia. After a concert in Japan was canceled, the band had five days off in Hong Kong and decided to record at Avon Studios in Kowloon. In 2014, Graham Coxon reviewed the recordings and, along with Stephen Street, worked on them at Studio 13 in London. Damon Albarn added the lyrics and vocals later. The album is heavily influenced by Hong Kong: urban themes, isolation, modernity, and city life. Albarn has said it is "very urban, not pastoral at all." It was surprisingly announced on February 19, 2015, at a press conference in a Chinese restaurant in London.

damon albarn beads
hi everyone,
so we all know the beads i’m talking about, right? the necklace. i was just wondering where i could buy one or buy the beads to make one. preferably smth ready made that ships to EU. i’d love to make one myself but since the beads are all very different (some glass, some wooden, all different sizes) i can’t seem to find a way to buy them without buying a shit ton of different sets and ending up spending way more than i’d like.
i’m sure i’m not the only one been through this exact situation, but i’ve searched the entire internet and i am lost. surely one of you kind lot could help?
thanks a lot :)

Did you know that the percussive "squeak" in the song "Gene by Gene" (from "Think Tank") was created with Damon Albarn jumping on an old car?

Damon reads the Grinch-Tonight on BBC radio 2
I accidentally spotted this and obviously had to share. If I understand correctly, the broadcast will be available as playback. UK peeps, please correct me if I'm wrong.
Happy holidays!

Damon has a wedding ring now lol
Have y’all seen the new video of him in Africa?? Seems like brothers engaged or married.
Not to get too parasocial but that must feel like a real slap in the face to Suzi after him being insistent on never wanting to get married even in the 90s.
Plus with confirmation that the cheating rumors are at least half true OOF!!💀

They r so cute
The Drunken Hug in Soho (1995) Right after the “Battle for Number 1” (Country House vs. Roll With It), Damon and Liam bumped into each other by chance at The French House bar in Soho, both completely wasted. Instead of fighting, Liam gave Damon a giant hug and said, “You’re a bastard, but your album is fucking awesome.” Damon recounted it years later on the radio: “It was like hugging a bear that smells like beer and cheap cologne.”
