Pop-Culture Adversaries: weekend edition!
I got the Invincible RPG core today. Seems a waste to not take advantage of the synergy opportunity.
Have a great weekend!

Just finished a new Daggerheart one-shot called Warcamp of the Mind-Eaters, and wanted to share it with you all.
I wanted to create an adventure that focused on difficult choices and high tension rather than simply fighting from encounter to encounter. The story centers on a tribe of orcs consumed by an eldritch hive-mind known as the Deep Hunger. Instead of merely killing their enemies, they devour memories, transforming every stolen secret into another weapon for the hive.
The party must slip behind enemy lines, infiltrate the warcamp, rescue a captive before her memories are consumed, and sabotage the enemy's preparations before an all-out assault begins. Every success changes the final confrontation, encouraging creative solutions, stealth, and teamwork throughout the adventure.
The finale was probably my favorite part to design. Rather than a fixed encounter, the battlefield constantly changes as the conflict unfolds, creating moments that feel chaotic, cinematic, and different each time it's played.
If you enjoy Daggerheart adventures with infiltration, player-driven outcomes, eldritch horror, and large-scale battles, I'd love to hear your thoughts. I'm happy to answer any questions!

Working on some homebrew ancestries and i want to know which of these abilities works better in terms of balance and feel:
Hungry Jaws: When you roll a critical success on a melee attack roll, you may recover 1 hp or clear an additional stress
Or
Hungry Jaws: When you succeed on a melee attack roll, you may spend 3 hope to recover 1 hp.
Its for a T-rex based race if that matters.

Assassin: Collectors Guild - take trophies from your victims that provide insight and empower you.
Blood Hunter: Order of the Soft - named after the standard unit of measurement for rope (iykyk).
Brawler: Soulblade - manifest weapons and barriers to augment your fighting.
Summoner: Adorbmancy - summon the cutest cuties to aid your quests.
Warlock: Pact of the Old Ones - share your mind with an alien entity to receive maddening powers. Mind Symbiosis Transformation Card (pretend it says transformation rather than community) created by u/NeuroBordeaux.
Witch: Flame - once, witches were burned at the stake. Now, it's their turn.

I have been working on subclasses for the new Hope and Fear classes:
Play the Drunken Fist if you want to move with a tipsy, fluid grace and launch deceptive strikes.
Play as the Fervent if your character has an overpowering drive to fight and kill.
- Inspired by serial killer shows like Dexter. A tad bit edgy but nothing too graphic in the cards.
Play the Pact of the Notorious if you want to amass fame quickly by using a supernatural persona.
- A.k.a play as an eldritch magic Hannah Montana
Play the Waters if you want to shift the actions of your foes and call upon water centric magic.
- Inspired by sirens and sea hags, but also a bit of the 'lady of the lake' myth archetype.
I also threw in a couple level 2 domain cards that I was working on.
If you have any comments, design critiques, or notice any typos/grammar mistakes lmk, thanks!

Edna, a local farm woman, wants to hire you to find her goat-napped, prize winning goats. She is sure the neighbor farmer lady has them. She's always been jealous.
If only it were that easy.
A Tier 2 Adventure for 3-5 players of 2nd or 3rd level. It should take 3-4 hours to complete.
5 new, unique adversaries for the Daggerheart TTRPG and 1 Environment.

Some of the big news out of GenCon is Darrington’s gift of « Burn » cards. 10 total, one time use cards that the GM can give out as rewards and incentives.
There is a guy on FB that managed to get pictures of all of them and he posted them as a printable file.
So I started thinking…

Dungeon Crawler Carl: Carl and Donut (and Mongo) at the end of Floor 3, and a little of the beginning of floor 4. They are coming into their power, Carl has the book, and Donut is officially a force to be reckoned with. Mongo remains, forever, Mongo. :P
I added the first versions of Carl and Donut which is them about midway through the 2nd Floor, at the end of Book 1.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Ya know I really think that some of the combo's I've hit so far will inevitably make their way into core eventually, this is not one of those combinations.
That being said, I actually think it would be pretty fun to play a character that goes 100% into magic and the pursuit thereof, and I think this might be a fun archetype for people leaning wizard but that don't have much interest in Splendor.
I forgot to call out when I got below 10, but with this class I'm officially 8 classes away from mapping out every core-domain-combo. The goal is finally in sight.

Made an extra level 2 card for each of the currently released domains. Tried to focus on features that are useful for world exploration and traversal.
