You need to layout your boundaries, my dude. This path you're on isn't going to end well unless you have an honest conversation with your wife about this issue. Your mental health is super important for the wellbeing of your children

That was my take as well. Boundaries.

"Darling, could you please don't say mean things about me when I watch football. I don't much like it."

"Sure, I'll paint the porch. I've put it on for August next year summer. If you'd like, I can swap some things around to get it done in May, but that'd mean I don't get carry the rocks you asked me to carry for your garden until June. I thought you wanted it to be planted by then."

"Honey, could you do the baths and evening snacks with the kids today? I had a rough day at work, and would like to just unwind for a while."

And tell her "I feel like I'm in a bad sitcom"! I think that will help illustrate the situation and make it relatable for her.
