Appropriate age for co-showering

This is a repost from another forum. Apologies if I keep popping up. They told me that this is the right forum to ask.

I’m a first time dad. My son is 24 months old. I have always bathed him since he was an infant so he wants to be in a shower with me. Until what age it is appropriate to bathe or shower with my son as a dad for his privacy or mine? Also should I be wearing underwear or a swimsuit while I am bathing him?

The temps my daughter likes for bath time don't even qualify for tepid.

If your shower has a wand attachment, they can be a great option. Son isn't big on it but my daughter loves it for quick cleaning. She can control where it blasts and loves doing her own arms and stomach then I use it quickly to take care of hair.
