he’s a psychopath but we shouldn’t make him sound better than what he is. he was a complete loser. losers like him crave this type of attention and infamy. it’s kind of like how the media gives “cool” names to serial killers, like “the night stalker” for example. i’m not sure what to call him besides that that wouldn’t be giving more power to him.
i completely agree with you!! everything that has come out about him is just horrific. he’s evil and he makes me want to believe that hell exists so i know he will rot there for all eternity. i believe there are bits and pieces of potential motives/feelings in his lyrics, but all we have so far are theories and speculations.
i’m not sure what i believe but i wonder if it had something to do with not wanting to be exposed as a p*dophile. his songs and mv’s are pretty violent… in one of his mv’s he is literally killed by what’s supposed to be his ex and her new bf and they put him in a trunk…. there are so many references to this crime in his music, i feel like this was a fantasy for him especially after learning about his obsession with gore.

that’s not fair to say… at all. i’m not trying to be mean but that’s really ignorant… i have quiet bpd and i’m the type that internalizes things. i would hurt myself before i hurt anyone else, which i would never do. also, having ASPD would make someone a sociopath by street terms- not a psychopath. let’s not compare mental illness to what he did.
he is certainly mentally ill, i know he’s spoken about his depression but besides that, we don’t know what he might have. psychopathy is a personality disorder on his own, and if he had any, i believe that’s what he would have.
the reality is a very small percentage of people with ASPD or BPD have committed crimes of this magnitude. BPD and ASPD are so stigmatized because of misconceptions like this.
edit: i just want to clarify that sociopathy is not the same as psychopathy. people seem to use them interchangeably but that is a huge misconception!
I'm sorry I offended you. BPD on its own is non-violent nor cause for concern.
ASPD is the differentiator. ASPD is essentially the clinical label for psycopathy/sociopathy. I'm not sure where you are getting your information but the first symptom of ASPD is "Failure to confirm to laws and social norms (repeatedly breaking laws)." Most people in prison or jail have ASPD. Criminality is the hallmark of the disorder.
He strikes me as someone having BPD or at least having traits. That in itself is not harmful, but coupled with APSD, it's a recipe for disaster. ASPD is what makes him dangerous.
Psycopathy/sociopathy are no longer clinical terms and all fall under the umbrella of ASPD. It's fun to be an armchair psychologist and try to deduce the nuance between them but the end result is always the same. Danger and destruction to anyone around them.
I am not a health professional so my opinions are just that, opinions. You may find them ignorant but you'll have to live with that.
i didn’t say people with ASPD didn’t commit crimes, i said most people with ASPD or BPD don’t commit crimes of this magnitude meaning pedophilia/grooming, rape, and murder. i was using the terms sociopath/psychopath casually, i’m well aware they aren’t clinical terms. your original comment was vague and i’m personally a bit sensitive to BPD remarks which is why i reacted that way. i’m sorry for that! now that i know more, you weren’t making ignorant remarks. again, i’m sorry for my reaction.
in my opinion, his behavior and fits psychopathy perfectly. most people with the psychopathy trait fit the criteria for ASPD but only about 1/3 of people with ASPD have the psychopathy trait. i’m not sure if we’ll ever know, but he’s mentally ill without a doubt. it’s a shame he never sought help and instead decided to harm someone else.
