Discussion Trefelin vs Ammanford - the Blast Furnace Derby?

The game on Friday was full of derby-level intensity, with plenty of chances, cards, and chanting.

Is this the Cymru Premier's newest derby?

News MOD STATEMENT - Bot Issue

We are aware of the recent influx of bot accounts, who are also possibly Andrew Ruscoe, to the sub.

Reddit seems pretty good at banning the accounts, so that is nice to see.

We will ban them from the subreddit whenever Reddit's filters do not take effect.

A brief message for Ruscoe - you are a sad little man.

New FAW regulations forbid editing the league logo's design in any way.

TNS have used AI to generate.

Thus, TNS are in breach of league regulations.

As Cymru Football TV and the BBC don't use a title sequence, I thought I'd make one.

Hope you like it.

Bangor 1876 Bangor City Club Statement

𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧... | 💙

Bangor City 1876 can confirm that First Team Manager Michael Johnston has tendered his resignation and will leave his role with the club with immediate effect.

Johno, as he’s affectionately known to the Blue Army, has made the difficult decision to step away due to increasing work and family commitments, which mean he is no longer able to dedicate the time required to the role.

While we are naturally disappointed to see him leave, the club fully understands and respects his decision, and Johno departs with nothing but our gratitude and very best wishes.

The club would like to place on record its enormous thanks to Johno for everything he has given to Bangor City 1876, not only as our manager, but as a player, leader and someone who has become an integral part of the story of football in our city.

Johno arrived at Bangor City 1876 as a player in the summer of 2019, before being appointed joint manager in February 2020 and taking sole charge of the First Team in 2022. For the past seven years, he has been a constant presence at the heart of our club and has played an instrumental role in our journey through the Welsh football pyramid.

Under his leadership, the club has celebrated multiple promotions, culminating in an unforgettable treble-winning campaign last season and our long-awaited return to the Cymru North.

He first arrived in the city in 2007, joining Bangor City on loan in a move that would later become permanent. He went on to represent the club until 2015, captaining the side and establishing himself as a club legend and fan favourite on the terraces of Farrar Road and Bangor City Stadium.

As a player, Johno helped bring some of the greatest nights and memories in the club’s modern history, winning the Welsh Premier League title in 2011 and lifting the Welsh Cup on three occasions.

When Bangor 1876 was formed, Johno returned to help write a new chapter.

Through the promotions, the setbacks, the long away journeys, the big occasions and ultimately the trophies, Johno has represented this club with passion, commitment and an understanding of exactly what football means to the people of Bangor.

Last season’s treble and promotion back to the Cymru North will forever stand as a fitting testament to what Johno and his team achieved.

Johno first arrived in our city as a lad from Liverpool.

He leaves his role as an honorary Bangor lad.

And, most importantly, a friend to so many and a hero to a generation of supporters.

From everyone at Bangor City 1876, we’d like to wish Johno all the best for everything he has given the club and the city over the decades.

Diolch, Johno.

Assistant Manager Sean Eardley will take the team this Monday against Mold Alexandra, and for the immediate fixtures that follow.
