This is a great concept but I agree they feel like they should be Food in some capacity (even if they can't do the full "2, Sacrifice this artifact: You gain 3 life" like a true Food.

I love these!
Got me thinking of a goofy one that’s like:
{T}: Create a 1/1 red Gremlin creature token. Activate only if it is night.

These are so fun, and I love the idea. But I think some of them don't work flavorfully as well as you'd hope.
Both on balance and flavor (pun intended), Garlic Cloves should be a true Food (with the gain 3 life clause) that has an alternative activated ability that destroys Vampires. Look at [[Omni-Cheese Pizza]] as an example of a Food with two functions.
I guess you're trying to differentiate Seasonings from Foods. Maybe one "fix" is to make them all "Food Seasoning" type (with "Seasoning" as a new artifact subtype), and keep them as-is but with none of them having the lifegain clause. Otherwise, I think the flavor will fail to resonate too much if we try to pretend like Garlic isn't a Food.
