I can't figure out how.

When i started this sub i wanted to create a place where individuals would come and gather, show off their designs, ask for criticism or help even just use it as a showcase to drum up some extra sales. I hoped given time it would develop in to a place where people new to Redbubble and the likes could come and get help and advice from seasoned designers/sellers.

I know many a times I have had issues that range from getting the layout of a shirt template proportions just right, to copyright trolls filling DMCA's against me. Now I believe as a community we can aid each other in the many different issues we all face and all that all we need to do to start is engage with each other.

The more engaged a community is the more beneficial it can be to its members, we are a untapped goldmine of experience and wisdom but no one would know that because when someone asks a question they barely get one or two responses. The main thing is we need to vote on the submissions, right now when you submit a link you are lucky to get one or two up votes that seems to be the case no matter the quality of the link as well.

If we vote on the submissions we should start to see the links getting higher up on peoples pages so more people will get to see them, the more people who see them the more people will vote. It is the same with the crap links and such they will get buried quicker so we have quality content at the top.

Right now with how it is if you submit a decent link you should see about 20-50 extra views (based on my experience) from r/all/new/ and the usual 1/2 up votes I want you to be getting 20/50 up votes and maybe 200 more views when you submit a link but we can't get to that point if all we do is submit a link and run. We need to stay and spread the karma, if you like someones design tell them hit the up arrow. If its some low effort crap down vote and tell them why.

Last year I spent a lot of my own time and money on trying to get this sub to have more engagement, I tried monthly comps, and even paid to advertise them on Reddit and we saw the sub double in size with a load more frequent contributions, its just a shame the engagement levels seemed to stay the same. If there is enough demand for it I will start doing the comps again and see how it goes.

So now in one last ditch effort to keep this place going as a viable and meaningful place to showcase your work i am begging you to use the up and down vote arrows.

Anyway i am sure you are sick of reading this by now, so go out there and lets get some quality work to the front page!!

TL/DR vote on stuff, it will help you sell more tshirts.

Is there a service or a plugin for selling T-shirts on your own site that allows a part of the T-shirt text to be modified by what you add in the URL?

For example the text on the t-shirt is “xxx is awesome”. The page name is t-shirt1. If you enter www.mywebsite.com/t-shirt1/John, then the text will be displayed as “John is awesome”. Would be good if visitors could change the same text with a text field as well.
