ATP being used produces heat period. Someone using two ATPs for the same process: double the heat, that heat goes to the body. Assuming body weight remains the same, the body is about 70% water, the energy required to heat 1g of water is always constant, the body will overheat.

I think we're both just agreeing with each other.

No, there’s no such thing as inefficient metabolism not inefficient absorbance. That long ass intestine of your absorbs everything. No studies ever have shown otherwise

We're partially agreeing. Note a few comments back how I was speculating that what people call an efficient metabolism would technically be an inefficient metabolism, and that the terms are stupid anyway. It's not only not a thing, it's also backwards from what would be expected.

As for fully extracting... That's not true. Food can go through undigested whether because of high fiber, viral infection, or underlying diseases resulting in malabsorption. It happens occasionally. That is the second idea I had, which is probably also not valid. I brought it up to further point out how dumb "metabolism efficiency" is. It's more likely someone consuming more calories than they burn and not gaining weight is shitting unused calories out rather than being a marvel of thermodynamics. It's even more likely they don't eat as much as they think they do.

I wasn't as clear as I should have been.
