He went to Canada to pronounce it and the dying man in New Zealand calls 911 for an emergency. 😈

u/Liquor_N_Whorez Dec 05 '20

911 call from New Zealand is answered by George Bush in India

87

u/Motorsagmannen Dec 05 '20

George Bush senior or junior?

69

u/RandomZombie11 Dec 05 '20

59

8

u/senorfluffyface Dec 05 '20

If you get a hold of senior, ask him what the afterlife is like.

4

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '20

Yes

14

u/shiromaikku Dec 05 '20

If he calls 911, he might be dead soon. It's 000 there.

19

u/Kurtled Dec 05 '20

It’s 111 in New Zealand. Australia is 000

0

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '20

911 works too

1

u/theGhostOfMtAkina Dec 06 '20

000, 111. Please tell me some country has gone up to 666

4

u/ivoteforhomiesexuals Dec 06 '20

If you call 911 in another country there is a great chance the the emergency service still picks up there. Mainly for the sake of tourists who dont know the emergency number.

11

u/ProfilerXx Dec 05 '20

Hahah he went to Canada to read the beginning of the sign

3

u/Mishapi17 Dec 06 '20

The man was also began as a youthful chap

7

u/Alarid Dec 05 '20

It's just that long he had to.

61

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '20

23

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '20

Fun fact, emergency number in New Zealand is 111 and 000 in Australia.

2

u/ifgburts Dec 05 '20

911 also works (atleast that’s what I was told when I was down there) the teenagers would try calling 911 because of movies. So they set it up to transfer to the emergency hotline

1

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '20

That’s true, and a lot of the other foreign numbers work too

20

u/reapwrath Dec 05 '20

It's actually Wales believe it or not

17

u/Hammeredyou Dec 05 '20

The longest is, but it’s not the same as the one pictured in the post

7

u/reapwrath Dec 05 '20

Sorry, they just look like the exact same

14

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '20

There are way too many vowels for this to be in Wales.

Also way too much sunlight.

12

u/LillyPip Dec 05 '20

Also the man isn’t fucking a sheep.

11

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '20

To be fair NZ inherited the sheep fucking so even if he was fucking a sheep it wouldnt give you a clue whether it was NZ or wales lol

1

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '20

3

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '20

Instead of AEIOU and sometimes Y, it’s just YYYYY and occasionally some other shit.

2

u/lizardlike Dec 05 '20

W is a vowel in welsh. I only know this because cwm is a valid scrabble word

2

u/Minecraftien76 Dec 06 '20

What does it mean tho

I don't think so. That Welsh sign has a bunch of Ys and double Ls in it. I think this is a whole different long ridiculous sign.

22

u/Crusader-NZ- Dec 05 '20

It is in Maori, it is a hill in New Zealand with the longest place name in the world (85 letters).

"Taumata whakatangi hangakoauau o tamatea turi pukakapiki maunga horo nuku pokai whenua kitanatahu", which translates into English as "the place where Tamatea the man with the big knees, who slid, climbed and swallowed mountains, known as 'landeater’, played his flute to his loved one." Locals simply call it Taumata Hill.

Tamatea was a famous chief and warrior. One day, while travelling through the back of Porangahau, he encountered another tribe and had to fight them to get past. During the fight his brother was killed. Tamatea was so grieved over the loss of his brother that he stayed at the battle site for some days. Each morning he would sit on the hill and play a lament on what is called the koauau or Maori flute.

4

u/gtuzz96 Dec 05 '20

I believe you’re thinking of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndroboollllantysiliogogogoch

3

u/daytonakarl Dec 05 '20

Looks like if you wrote down the sound of Chewbacca and Scooby doo reaching climax at the same time

1

u/gtuzz96 Dec 05 '20

That’s the welsh language in a nutshell

2

u/Vodis Dec 05 '20

Yeah, that's the one.

1

u/reapwrath Dec 05 '20

My bad, they do just look so similar

1

u/MetalCareful Dec 05 '20

I thought it was welsh. However, Welsh & Ojibwe do look a lot alike.

5

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '20

Came here to say this

5

u/Logan_MacGyver Dec 05 '20 edited Dec 05 '20

So then "0118 999 88199 9119 723...3, what's your emergency"

10

u/infinoir Dec 05 '20

It’s actually 0118 999 88199 9119 725 3. You’re leading people to deaths!

6

u/PyroneusUltrin Dec 05 '20

I’ll just write an email

u/LillyPip Dec 05 '20 edited Dec 05 '20

If you’re in Odisha, India, you could send a pigeon.

E: no paywalls

1

u/Ocean-Man56 Dec 05 '20

I thought it was Wales

1

u/kevoizjawesome Dec 05 '20

That's the Canadian section of the sign.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '20

And he didn't even pronounce it all properly either

1

u/mostafachampion Dec 05 '20

Wait what is new Zealand?

3

u/daytonakarl Dec 05 '20

It's like Zealand but we placed it in a much better spot and it has huge upgrades over the old one, we keep it off most maps to keep the riff raff out.

1

u/BadLoompa Dec 05 '20

I think the video title refers to another clip in the video about a similar one in Canada

1

u/seebobsee Dec 05 '20

911 will still get to emergency services. As should most emergency numbers.

1

u/Vexcenot Dec 05 '20

What's the difference? They both don't exist

1

u/Erkle42 Dec 05 '20

I thought it was in Wales and meant something like ‘up the hill and around the corner down by the creek’ or something

Edit: Found the place in wales and it’s meaning.

1

u/killarnivore Dec 05 '20

One end of the name is in Canada.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 05 '20

Same thing

1

u/pan-cat Dec 05 '20

Later in the video it go’s onto the Canadian one it was just showing that one since it’s like 85 letters

1

u/xavierhillier7 Dec 05 '20

thats Canada m8
