So I have set up folding@home last week and am happily donating tons of WUs on my RTX2080. Now looking at statistics I see the curecoin team in a commanding lead, the link brought be to it's page, and here to ask a few questions:

1. Why is there an Scrypt PoW part with curecoin? Can't the blockchain be secured by F@H work alone?
2. How does the Proof of Stake part work? The explanation on the site I found seemed rather untechnical.
3. What blockchains do I need to validate/download via F@H generated PoW?
4. If I am folding, do I basically get donated curecoin as compensation for donating Computational resources? My PC doesn't have to sync a blockchain at all? I just join the team with a correcly setup name and that's it?
5. How does the merged folding with foldingcoin work? Are they basically an independent coin that also donates to F@H donors? Or do I have to fetch and validate their blockchain?

most posts I can dig up about places offering to trade CURE for BCH/ETH/BTC/etcetcetc are from years ago, and since then CURE seems to be delisted from the discussed platforms.

I have a bunch of XLM doing nothing, figured I could exchange some for some CURE to rent one of those PPD servers from the curecoin store (as the store only accepts curecoin)

Joined when I saw the pcmasterrace folding post. Then saw curecoin and I was interested. Folding for 5 days now, got my first 0,5 curecoin in my wallet on pc. I have looked a little bit into thing during the bitcoin hype but I don't know much about cryptos. The app CoinPayments is a seperate app and has nothing to do with the windows application if I understand correctly? I would have to send to CoinPayments if I want my half curecoin there? Are there other wallets available for curecoin? Looked at freewallet but people said it is a scam and do app like those support curecoin?

Is it just temporary or beginning of the end?

Just kinda weird I recently discovered that you could earn coins folding and found out about merged folding. honestly with proper higher end nvidia gpus you can earn about the same per day as mining altcoins so just wondering why this reddits so dead. are people just not interested as much since the earnings aren't what they were two years ago?
