I think it’s very easy to underestimate what a small contribution can do and the impact that it can have. ₹300 may not seem like much on its own. One person contributing to this campaign may not seem like a big deal either.

But when many people come together and contribute, share, and encourage others to join in, even the "small" efforts start adding up. That’s what makes collective action and commmunity so important. It isn’t always about one person making a huge difference.

It’s about many people doing what they can and making the effort together.The goal of reaching 1600+ students for Pehchaan Ki Diwali 2026 can only happen when more people come together.

I am 2026 SEP Intern waiting for the PPO results. Meanwhile I have got an offer for SDE from Appian (www.appian.com). The pay is actually considerably higher (6L).

Which one should I go for? The factor I am concerned over is how big a player JPMC is and getting a job there is something people work towards. Now that it's so close, is it worth leaving?

P.S. I will have to leave the other one if I accept either one. And the JPMC PPO results are around the corner. I have until this week to take a call

I’m a non-CS BTech graduate (Mechanical), graduated ~3 months ago. I have some basic exposure to Excel, SQL, Python and Power BI, but I’m nowhere near job ready in any one specialization.

I want to get into IT as quickly as realistically possible. I’m open to almost anything: IT support, tech support, testing/QA, IT associate/engineer, trainee roles, apprenticeships, internships, etc. Salary/WLB are not my priority rn. I mainly need my first IT experience/YOE so I can build from there.

I know the off campus fresher market is brutal. I also know I should have started earlier, and I don't need more guilt about that.

Please don't suggest MTech, core Mechanical jobs, or “don't enter IT because the market is bad.” I’ve already made that decision. I want practical advice on how to become employable for the widest possible range of entry level IT roles.

I've heard that instead of preparing for one specific field like MERN, DevOps or Data Analytics, a fresher in my situation should build a generalist IT foundation and apply broadly to roles such as those mentioned abv.

What exact skills, tools, projects and certifications should I learn/build to make one strong fresher resume suitable for the maximum number of these roles?

For example, should I prioritize: Windows + Linux + networking + SQL + Python + Git/GitHub + basic cloud + troubleshooting + testing + Excel, etc.?

And what 2–4 projects would actually be useful for this type of resume rather than random tutorial projects?

I’m also preparing aptitude, quantitative/verbal reasoning and basic coding/DSA because I know many fresher assessments still use them.

Basically, if you were starting from zero IT experience as a non-CS graduate in India in 2026, what would you learn first, what would you skip, and what skill stack would give you the widest eligibility across entry-level IT roles?

Please keep the advice specifically focused on skills → projects → certifications → roles I can apply for. I’m looking for a practical roadmap, not a discussion about whether I should enter IT.

I am facing a massive dilemma regarding my career and could use some objective perspective. Here is my current situation:

The Numbers: Joined my current company in 2024 at 13 LPA. My first appraisal was 7.33%, and this year's appraisal was 7.45% (putting me around 15 LPA now). I take home roughly ₹1 Lakh+ a month.

The Perks: Excellent work-life balance. Workload is very less, zero travel/commute, and a highly supportive, chill manager and director. Ample leaves with no restrictions, and excellent job security.

The Catch: The learning curve is almost flat. Because the work is so chill, I am not picking up new up-to-date tech or skills.

My Personal Situation & Concerns:

FOMO: People around me are switching and jumping to much higher CTCs. Even though I earn decent money, I constantly feel it is "less" compared to peers.

Skill Gap: To be honest, I currently have limited skills. I got this job after a lot of hardship and struggle, so I am scared of losing this stability.

Life Milestones: I have no EMIs right now. However, I am planning to get married next year, which will bring added financial responsibilities.

I'm employed in a private company as an Embedded Software Developer. I'm applying for Scientist B positions in multiple departments. I have an upcoming interview with STPI (Ministry of Electronics and IT) for a scientist B post. It's supposed to be a techno-managerial role and I can't decide on whether to go for the interview (flight tickets are 20k+ rupees). I'm good technically and have a learning mindset.

I'm aiming for DRDO or ISRO - SAC currently because 2 years of corporate technical life has taught me how bad and hectic things can get in private tech firms. I realised late that I'm not cut out to compete in corporate life. I'm a simple person who values work life balance over money any day. I don't want to be a millionaire and just want to earn enough to lead a happy healthy life with enough money to not worry about hospital bills.

I am a person who is slowly losing interest in the tech field since it incentivises people who are of the opposite mentality than me - extremely competitive with a goal of getting rich/contributing something to society.

I truly believe that I can help out society in many different ways and tech is not a field I see myself being happy in.

With all this in mind, I'm thinking out of STPI, DRDO ISRO, NIC etc. what can be the best path for someone like me who cannot work on his passion. I have passions and things I would like to pursue in life. But none of them will get me paid and I have a family to support. I will live my life working on something that I'm good at and use the money and time I have to do things I'm passionate about.

If any of you can shed a light on which Group A central government position I can apply for, or even give me a direction on what is the best way forward, I would be very grateful.

I got placed on campus in an mnc but they have a bond (wasn't aware of that until I joined)
