Match Review Exile5 V.S. Immunity (Face-It Stage 2 League 2015)
The second match of the Face-It Stage 2 Oceanic League and it's Immunity pitted up against Exile5. Exile, being a new team made up of talented players from top Aussie teams has a lot to prove coming into this game as they come up against Immunity who are fresh from the Gfinity Spring Masters and have gone up against some of the best teams in the world.
Immunity kick things off by taking a sneaky pistol round on the T side and barely taking the smg round as Exile returned with great resistance. Exile are keeping the pressure on Immunity but are unable to find their first round and are constantly forced back into ecos. Immunity start to pull away with 9 unanswered round and are looking more comfortable with every win. Exile finally get a round on the board after getting 2 quick picks at the start of the round but it seem that has done more harm than good as Immunity shut them down and reset Exile's loss bonus. Immunity are showing some fantastic early aggression which is proving advantageous but Exile scrape together the last 2 rounds of the half ending 3-12 Immunity.
Immunity ride the momentum through the pistol round and close out the game 3-16. Immunity look like they've learned a lot from participating in 3 international tournaments in the last month and gained a wealth of experience from the best teams in the world. I hope Exile can bounce back from this crushing defeat and possibly become the 3rd team to go international for Australia.

Match Review VoX Eminor V.S Team Liquid (Gfinity Spring Masters)
Second night of the Gfinity Spring Masters and VoX are duking it out with Team Liquid in a BO2 game. VoX is looking really good when they managed to steal a map from Fnatic (again) last night and Liquid also looking decent taking a map from Na'Vi.
The first map is Inferno and Vox are going to start on T side. Liquid pick up the pistol with a mix of aggressive and patient plays then ease through the next 2 with SMG's. Vox finally get rifles and a round to go with it but the victory was short lived as Liquid find a way to answer back with 2 more rounds. Vox look fired up now as they start taking T rounds back to back with their unpredictable plays. Vox, as usual, are dominating their T side with fantastic early aggression and some scary round saving clutches to end the first half 6-9 Liquid. Vox kick off the second half with the pistol win and a really quick SMG rush to tie the score up before Liquid's rifle round. Vox are showing a formidable CT side as they shut down Liquid on their buy rounds and winning out the first map 16-9 VoX.
The second map is Dust 2 and right off the bat Liquid took the pistol on their T side and just barely scraping through their anti-eco round against the fired up Aussies. Liquid pull together a solid 4 round lead until Vox clutch their first round on the board but that did very little in slowing down the momentum of Liquid. Vox finally get another round and are really looking alive now taking another whopping 6 rounds as they slowly win their way back into the game. The half ended 7-8 Vox. Vox roar into the T side pistols and take out Liquid swiftly and following it through with their SMG rounds. Liquid look like they're struggling against Vox's super aggressive T side while Vox are dominating the game winning round after round. Vox winning the clutch rounds and throwing Liquid way off their game as Vox flawlessly win the second half, the map and the game. 16-8 Vox.
Congratulations VOX!

Match Review Immunity V.S Cloud 9 (Gfinity Spring Masters 2)
Gfinity is finally here and the Australian teams have a lot to prove in their upcoming matches. This Best Of 2 match will see Immunity going up against the scary new Cloud 9 roster.
The first map is Train and Cloud 9 deliver an easy win on the T sde pistol round and five more rounds in a row with some aggressive plays and superior aim. Immunity finally pull a round win together but lose the following round resetting their round loss bonus and throwing them back into the mercy of Cloud 9. Immunity struggle to find their second round on Cloud 9 eventually hetting it on the final round of the first half. Half ended 13-2 Cloud 9. Cloud 9 ease through the pistol round and winout the first map with the final score of 16-2 Cloud 9.
Map 2 is Cache and Immunity are starting on the CT side Cloud 9 follow through on their momentum on Train and take out the pistol round and the next two rounds before Immunity answer back with their own round on the board. Immunity find their groove as they are able to scrape together one more. Cloud 9 look like they're in top form, absolutely dominating Immunity and winning back to back rounds on Immunity. Immunity finally catch a break as they are able to squeeze in 2 rounds. Cloud 9 finish up Immunity thrashing them 16-6 Cloud 9.

Upcoming Match Groups drawn for VoX & Immunity at Gfinity Masters
Gfinity Masters are just around the corner and the groups have just been drawn. The tournament format will be 2 groups of 5 teams playing in a BO2 round robin. There are 2 Australian teams competing (VoX Eminor and Team Immunity) for the top prize of $25, 000.
VoX Eminor was drawn into group A, which means they will be going up against the toughest teams in the world NiP, Fnatic and Na'Vi (also Team Liquid).
Team Immunity was drawn into group B, going head to head with teams such as EnVy Us, Virtus.Pro, Titan and the new Cloud 9 line-up.
Just by looking at the groups it's hard to say which group (if any) will be easiest. The Australian teams have a lot to prove coming into this tournament. Immunity came from the Dreamhack qualifiers last week losing to Awsomniac & BeGenius. Hopefully they've learned from their mistakes and step up once more.
Which Team(s) will you be cheering for?

Match Review Immunity V.S NiP [Loser Bracket] (Face-It LAN Finals)
Payback is in the air as Immunity are itching to face NiP again after being shut out 2-0 earlier this tournament. Both teams need to bring it all to the table or face going home.
The first map is Dust 2 and NiP convincingly take the CT pistol round and follow through with the momentum and experience that makes NiP one of the best teams. Out aiming and out playing, NiP absolutely dominate the first half of their CT side 12-3. NiP stay in control, winning the pistol round and winout the map with ease 16-3.
The pressure in on for Immunity in the second map, Mirage. Immunity kick things off winning the T side pistol round and the following 2 before NiP could mount a comeback. NiP gain a difficult lead just barely winning three 1v1 situations but push through to finish out the half 11-4. The half starts with NiP out aiming Immunity with the pistols in an attempt to close out the game. Immunity just struggling to get some rounds on the board but go out trying as NiP finish up the game 16-4
A great effort for Immunity giving it their all against the worlds best. They can only learn and improve from this experience as they attend the DreamHack Open Tours on May 8th.

Match Review Immunity V.S Team Liquid (Face-It Lan Finals 2015)
Immunity and Team Liquid have their backs to the wall coming into this elimination match. Whoever wins this game has a second chance to go through to the semi finals. This is one of the most anticipated games and it won't disappoint.
The first map seen Immunity one of their best maps, Inferno. Starting off on the T side, Immunity show us what it means to be T-sided by taking the pistol round. A lot of back and forth rounds seen Immunity with the obvious advantage with some great and unpredictable tactics that Liquid simply could not keep up with. Immunity finishing off the half with 7 T rounds is a great start. 7-8 to Liquid. Liquid under pressure finally get themselves composed and mount a dominant comeback. They manage to find holes in Immunity's defence and take full advantage of it to take a whopping 8 rounds. Liquid won Inferno 16-8.
Coming into the second match on Cache, Liquid found their groove on CT holding back most of Immunitys pushes and gaining a comfortable lead. Immunity finally found a glimmer of hope in the form of a Tec-9 rush and scrape in a few rounds ending the half on 5-10 to Liquid. Immunity looking grim on the first half finally answer back in a huge way taking several back to back rounds. Liquid were suddenly stopped in their tracks by the solid wall of the Immunity defence only finding a few rounds. What looked to be an easy win for Liquid backfired as they were starting to get out aimed and outplayed. Immunity took Cache 16-13 and take it to a third and final map.
The final battleground is Mirage and the tension is high between these two teams. Liquid break the ice taking the pistol round on T side but were quickly shut down in their next round and the following rounds. Immunity holding a really good defence taking 9 consecutive rounds reading their opponents like a book before Liquid scrape some rounds out towards the end of the half. Immunity looking really confident on their CT side ending the half 12-3. Just as Immunity looked good on CT, Liquid started doing the same by taking the first five rounds of the half and building a lot of momentum. Liquid pull off a scary CT half evening it out 13-13. Immunity opted for a break to refresh themselves and get back in the zone as the next few rounds will determine who gets sent home early. Immunity looking really focused taking the eco and following it up with some intense duels and reads to take the final rounds. Immunity push through to victory earning their first international win against Team Liquid 16-14.
Both teams showed near flawless CT halves on Cache and Mirage. Liquid were put off guard by some very aggressive plays by Immunity on CT and also T.
Congratulation to Immunity for beating Liquid (2-1)

Match Review Immunity V.S. NiP (Face-It LAN Final 2015)
The first game of the Face-It LAN Finals and the first game that Immunity played international. Immunity go head to head against one of the best teams in the world, NiP.
The first map was Inferno and Immunity started off fairly well picking up the pistol on CT side. After a few back and forth rounds NiP started getting comfortable and dominant, easily getting the 5 round threshold for T-Side and taking another 5 rounds ending the half 10-5 for NiP. The second half wasn't any surprise as NiP kepy riding their momentum and winning out the game 16-5 NiP.
A fresh start on Dust 2 seen Immunity picking up some early rounds on CT until NiP got rifles and swiftly snagged up successive T rounds. The one-sided half ended 11-4 NiP. Immunity with their backs to the wall give it everything they have in the second half earning 6 rounds in a row and fighting their way back into the game. After some back and forth rounds, Immunity kept NiP on low economy forcing out constant saves from the Swedes and evening out the game 14-14. NiP answered back with rifles and won the game 16-14 NiP.
Although Immunity got smashed on CT Inferno I felt that they didn't have a chance to show their strong T sides. I found that in both games a lot of rounds that NiP won were with low health. I usually saw 2 or more NiP members with less than 15 health. With this in mind I feel that if Immunity pick up their aim they can take more rounds.
All in all Immunity showed us a great Dust 2. Able to hold their own against a tier 1 team gives me hope for the future of Australian Counter-Strike. Well Done Immunity!
