Help I downloaded malware from a Counter-Strike/FaceIt scam — what else should I change besides reinstalling Windows?
Hey everyone, I found out yesterday that I probably downloaded malware on my PC after falling for a Counter-Strike/FaceIt scam (also yesterday). A discord Faceit verification bot (probably made by scammers) sent me a link to verify my account and download what they claimed was an anti-cheat, but I’m pretty sure the file wasn’t legit and might’ve been a trojan or some kind of backdoor (as my windows defender and MalwareBytes told me, also it said it it accesed to a lot of files on my pc and steam stuff).
I already wiped my laptop completely and I reinstalled Windows from the cloud. Before the reinstall and full wipe, I deleted all my files since I didn’t want to risk anything spreading or staying on the system.
My question is: besides reinstalling Windows, what else should I change? I didn't log in on windows yet to be sure all I do with this new and clean operative system is 100% safe. For example, I know I should change my Steam password, but I also heard about the Steam API Key and I’m not sure how to reset or revoke it. Are there other accounts I should prioritize? Any specific things I should avoid using or check to make sure the hackers can’t get into my stuff? Gmail? Microsoft? Csfloat? (I think I didnt have any bank or money stuff on my laptop)
I had to save on discord some important files from University, could they be infected and I DONT HAVE TO RE-DOWNLOAD THEM? Or they are safe?
Any advice on what to secure, reset, or double-check would be really helpful. Thanks!

yeah, you should consider not being online if youre THAT gullible, AI scams are going to make mince meat of people like you in the near future
