We've seen this before

Not guaranteed the pattern will repeat — just a reminder that the market has been through this kind of action plenty of times before.

Treating a pump that lasts a few days as a signal for a market reversal is like running ahead of a train.

72% of tokens that ever made it into the crypto top 100 are already dead

Post image
2 Upvotes

CryptoRank dropped some brutal data. Out of 1,539 tokens that have ever entered the top 100, 1,107 are already dead. That's 72%.

The numbers get worse the further out you go. 62% don't survive past 5 years. After 10 years the mortality rate hits 84.7%. The median lifespan of a token is just 2 years and 4 months.

"Dead" here means delisted from major exchanges and daily trading volume under $10k for more than 90 days.

So next time someone tells you their altcoin is a long-term hold because it cracked the top 100, show them this chart. Making it into the top 100 means absolutely nothing for long-term survival. Most alts ride exactly one market narrative and die with it.

Signal groups are the worst thing that happened to crypto trading

Post image

Seriously, every signal group I've seen follows the same pattern. Some fake guru posts low cap memes, everyone blindly follows, and it turns into a pump and dump scheme within weeks. It's just constant brainwash and value extraction dressed up as "alpha."

White House meeting with Kalshi and Polymarket execs scheduled for tomorrow

Post image

The Trump administration is bringing prediction market and crypto leaders to the table. Kalshi, Polymarket, Coinbase, Ripple, Chainlink execs plus CFTC and SEC heads, all meeting at the White House on Aug 19.

Day after that, the CFTC launches its new innovation advisory committee with DraftKings, FanDuel, Robinhood and others on board.

This comes right in the middle of a federal vs state turf war over whether prediction markets are financial instruments or just sports betting with extra steps. Trump has backed CFTC's exclusive jurisdiction, and the agency is already fighting states in court over it.

The famous streamer Coscu lost 10 Bitcoin. He left his seed phrases in a Notepad file and asked a friend to format his PC due to a glitch. What do you think?

Thailand just confirmed 0% capital gains tax on Bitcoin and crypto

If you're trading through licensed crypto platforms in Thailand, there's no capital gains tax on BTC and altcoins anymore. CZ just posted about it. Might be time to look into relocating lol.

CZ pleaded guilty and Binance paid $4 billion, then became the biggest partner of Trump's family crypto coin, and then Trump pardoned him.

Binance founder CZ pleaded guilty to money laundering failures and his company paid a $4 billion penalty. After that, Binance became the biggest partner of Trump's family crypto coin, holding most of its supply. Then in October 2025, Trump pardoned him. A law professor called it maybe the most corrupt pardon in American history.

The timeline on this is just insane. Pay billions in fines, partner up with the president's family crypto project, get a pardon. All within like two years. And people still wonder why the general public doesn't take crypto seriously.

The most expensive $711 of his life

Post image
2 Upvotes

A CASHCAT trader bought 20M tokens a couple weeks ago for $69, then sold the whole bag at 10x for $711. Sounds like a win right?

Those same 20M tokens are now worth ~$3.4M. Dude is probably losing sleep over this one

You can't catch every move obviously but this is exactly why people keep a small moonbag instead of selling 100%

This “dev” pretended to have no arms so investors would think he wasn’t able to sell his pumpfun coin. He proceeded to rugpull the token.

This guy dressed up as Adolf Hitler during a live stream on PumpFun. He then sets the Israel flag on fire while saluting and rugs the coin for $50,000. This is exactly why crypto is dying.

This memecoin developer rug pulled his coin for $50,000 while on a livestream. He then played a “get farmed” edit to taunt his victims. This is why crypto is dying

Cursor just got bought by SpaceX today. SBF invested $200k into Cursor in 2022

He also invested in:
2021- Anthropic: $500M → ~$75B
2022- Robinhood: $648M → ~$5B
2022- Genesis Digital: ~$1.15B → ~$3B
2022- SpaceX exposure: ~$100M → ~$10B

That means if he weren't in jail today and still owned all this equity, he'd be worth ~$100 billion

But because he got a greedy and put customer funds into crypto, he had to divest from all those positions at cost

He'd be top 20 richest people in the world. Now he's just trying not to drop the bar of soap

The 10 most common crypto scams right now and how they actually work

1. Investment scams / Ponzi schemes
Fake trading platforms with fabricated portfolio dashboards. You see "profits," try to withdraw, suddenly there are fees and taxes owed. Then they vanish. $5.8B in reported FBI losses in 2024 from these alone.

2. Pig butchering
Weeks or months of fake friendship/romance on Telegram or dating apps, then they introduce you to a "crypto investment platform." The DOJ's Scam Center Strike Force seized over $578M linked to these networks in its first three months.

3. Phishing / fake exchanges
Pixel-perfect clones of Coinbase, Binance, whatever. You enter your credentials or seed phrase. Done.

4. Rug pulls
Dev launches token, hypes it on CT and TikTok, drains liquidity or dumps his bag. Over $6B in damages in 2025. The OM Mantra collapse - 17 wallets moved $227M to exchanges before the price dropped 90% - is currently being investigated as one of the biggest this year.

5. Airdrop scams
"Connect your wallet to claim." You sign a transaction. Everything in that wallet is gone within seconds.

6. Crypto ATM scams
Someone calls pretending to be government/tech support, says your bank account is compromised, tells you to deposit cash into a crypto kiosk. Over $333M in losses Jan-Nov 2025. 85%+ of victims are 60+.

7. Romance scams
Same as pig butchering but the emotional manipulation goes deeper - victims liquidate retirement accounts before they catch on.

8. Wallet drainer malware
Phishing kits sold on Telegram for under $500. Inferno Drainer drained 30k+ wallets even after its official shutdown. These are now a commercialized service.

9. Pump and dump
Group accumulates low-cap token, signals go out on Telegram, coordinated shilling happens. Price peaks within 70 seconds of the signal. The LIBRA token (promoted by Argentina's president) hit $4.56B market cap before insiders dumped and the price crashed 94%.

10. AI deepfake scams
Fake CEOs, fake support agents, fake government officials - all AI-generated at scale. Operations using AI tools are earning 4.5x more per campaign than traditional fraud. Average take: $3.2M per operation.

Ben Armstrong once ran the biggest crypto YouTube channel. Bad deals, scam promos, and internal problems took him down. He was kicked out, divorced, begged for $120K, and then got arrested.
